When Optimus Prime needs a target neutralized fast or something done quickly, he pulls back his ground units and sends in team Adrenaline Rush, a team specializing in air and speed. They are daredevils and speed demons, but they get the job done in record time.

Whereas my first team (still working on the name) was heavy on ground and size, this team is built on speed. They may lack in firepower (well except for Jetfire), but they make up for it in speed and utter craziness.

It still needs to be tweaked and I'm open to all suggestions, what do you guys think?

u need bumblebee, to dj and motivate ur team with some jams, maybe some eye of the tiger while team adrenaline rush does their thing

not just for the music, but think about, sometimes in battle weapons and firepower arent always the most powerful weapon, sometimes the most effective weapon is lubrication, and thats where bumblebee comes in, what decepticon will try to keep fighting when they have lubricants on them?? none, not even megatron is that crazy

wow I dig your themes for the teams. I'm just amassing all mine under one massive fleet... somewhat like the Autobots did in the story of Cybertron/Galaxy Force, although with more of a focus on the movie line.

Although I do have divisions within the teams, i.e. student/coach tag team Arcee and Ironhide (for now it seems to be canon from 2007 Scout Arcee's profile, although I Deluxe Arcee fits into the team much better).

Once I get Jazz and 08 Bumblebee Jazz can be the commander of the ground force division of Arcee/Bumblebee.

Poor Arcee and Bumble Bee have to listen to jive-talkin' Jazz. Which one is going to carry around his top-half? haha

All my Autobots are one big armada, but like you, I break them down into divisions (I just call them teams). That way if their is a specific task at hand you can send a team best equipped to handle the situation. Sort of like in the beginning of the movie where Blackout is attacking the military base half a world away from where the Autobots are located (ok so I know they weren't on earth yet, so bare with me). It would be impossible for Prime and his team to get there on time, so he sends team Adrenaline Rush over there in a flash to contain him. Easy as pie for them.

Sorry for the long explanation. I have a tendency to over think and type about TFs, lol.

Anyway some news about my main team. Jetfire and Skyblast have obviously been moved to team Adrenaline, so there is a big gaping hole in firepower. So I've decided to go ahead and try to find Cybertron Armorhide online somewhere to add in as Artillery. The man is packing some serious heat for a Scout class.

BTW, have you seen Armorhide around in shops? I don't think he's here in brisbane at all. Nor is 08 Bumblebee for that matter.

Thinking of teams is pretty cool, at least I think so. My current fanfic stresses a lot on the relations between the transformers, something which is slightly neglected in the movie (we don't even know Prime and Ironhide are veteran friends - something which is canon in the movie universe). Same thing with Starscream and Megatron, and oddly, Prime and Megatron - I think there is good evidence to suggest that the relation between Megs and Prime in this universe is even more dualistic than simply 'leader of autobots' and 'leader of decepticons'. Why else was Megatron once called Lord High Protector?

And Galaxy Force Vector Prime is my deus ex machina so he and Safeguard are their own tag team and not a constant presence.

Thinking of new TF teams is one of my favorite things to do. I mean, there are just so many TFs out there that is impossible to come up with the same team twice, lol.

Do you have a link to your fanfic? I'd enjoy reading it. I do think the movie should've tacked on another hour to better define the characters. Have more of the Decepticons shown in the beginning and to better show off the character traits of the Decepticons. Instead of having Jazz just die off, why not make it a heroic death of him valiantly trying to stop Megatron as he had Sam in his hands? Ya know, something more meaningful. And have Ratchet do more medical things. He never really did anything in the movie.

I agree about Megatron and Prime. They must've been friends or leaders together on Cybertron. Their hatred for eachother runs so deep that there must be something deeper. Its an angle that I don't believe has been given enough attention.

No, I haven't been able to find anything older than the Movie toys at retail. Although the KB Toys Outlet next to my work has just stocked some old old Energon figs (where I'm buying Windrazor today).

I actually haven't completed it yet but I will post it online on my blog when I do. My purpose in thinking of these new teams really is to breathe life and drama into the figures and the fanfic I am writing. These are the relationships I have deduced from the movie universe (movie, movie comic, prequel comic, Ghosts of Yesterday, toy profiles/tech specs, the video games):

Prime/Megatron: From what I have read, it seems Prime and Megatron are literal brothers, co-ruling Cybertron (like a di-archy) as dualistic aspects of a harmonious government. Optimus Prime served as fairness while Lord High Protector Megatron served as justice. But Megatron turned against Prime with an army of militaristic Decepticons, a new faction of seperatists, and the fact that their co-rule was so crucial to the survival of Cybertron, I think Prime despises Megatron for that. Megatron is happy to kill his ancient comrade turned enemy, but he also refers to him as 'brother' (see movie comic) several times, so at least he hasn't forgotten the old days. Drama has potential here.

Ironhide/Prime: Old friends, with Ironhide being slightly older than Prime (profile). Ironhide most likely is a bit more experienced than Prime, hence his cynicism, although Prime has a slightly more 'forbearing' attitude to the troubles of life.

Ironhide/Arcee: I see a lot of potential in this relationship with trainer Ironhide being a dark, brooding, cynical old robot and Arcee being the cheerful, enthusiastic hunter who tags turbofoxes in her spare time (profile). Also, in the Nintendo DS game it's revealed Ironhide was responsible for the destruction of some planetary body called Kaiba-5. I actually haven't played the game, but it's either a moon or planet. I'll let Ironhide struggle inwardly with his conscience, and the ramifications it has on those closest to him, especially Prime and Arcee. The dynamics potential is there for some good storytelling.

Ratchet/human children: Seriously. This could be really funny. Given that Ratchet's demeanour is that of a wizened healer, almost like those elderly elven doctors, he could be really fun to write about. I was thinking of a side-plot, where Ratchet and Bumblebee try to save an orphanage of genius children watched over by Sector 7.

Bumblebee/Jazz/Arcee: A fun loving trio, great to hang around with in peacetime, a deadly infantry tag team in battle. Nuff said.

Megatron/Starscream: Need I say more? Drama is what it's all about.

Blackout/Starscream: One is fiercely loyal to Megatron, the other, not. Ghosts of Yesterday highlighted this hateful relationship.

Prime/some human character: Unlike Bumblebee, Prime has no best friend who is human, and unlike Jazz, is slow to learn the culture. In many ways he is more withdrawn than the others due to his great burden. Maybe there is a human who can give Prime a respite from such loneliness.

The only request that I have is to mix it up with some intense battles in between the character building. I've noticed that most authors (well in comics anyway) can either do an issue of character building or an issue of a big battle. But I really think the two gell very well together to weave a great story due to the different POV.

Oh yeah, is EVAC just a Blackout repaint with a lifeboat instead of Scorponok? If so, its mine.

And instead of Scorponok, Evac gets a lifeboat. His head sculpt is also different. That's pretty cool if you ask me.

Can't wait for the Allspark figures to come out.

ironhide, 08 bb and classic bb is taking on
the t-800 endoskeletons and since they are out numbered, the bots called in for moviemaniacs robocop and then called in robovision prime and after along battle, the t-800 endoskeletons found new allies which are the tribe of predators the elite hunting aliens and as soon as the bots losing hope, they were sided by primus and omega supreme who simply kicked all the predators and the remaining t-800 while bb 08 is on altmode and ramming all the remains of t-x's terminators... lol! and finally justice prevails as the bots won the battle over skynet's army of cyberdyne android soldiers!

The more I plan out this team the better I like it. I added in Downshift because he's a vet (based on G1 Wheeljack) and because it would be very difficult for Jetfire to command both air and ground while in battle.

you already got Clocker and 08 Bumblebee?? Impressive! I STILL can't find them anywhere. and that is an awesome team, indeed. I don't think I've heard of a couple of them, though, so I don't know who they are. I'm sure they're awesome toys though. I can also see some fanfic potential coming out of there. I remember all the racer Autobots have memorable personalities.

I'm not buying Transformers until next week. For now I'll have to stick with my current collection. Arcee is pining for some infantry backup, and my Leader Prime wants good ol' Jazz back. "Aww Jazz..."

Awww Nevertheless, I say that's a great effort. Speed on land and power from the air is what it's all about.

BTW have you considered Cybertron Hot Rod, Excellion and Override GTS? I heard Excellion is a great toy on his own and Override GTS is the leader of the speedsters in the Cybertron story as well as being female (makes her unique enough as a Transformer. Apparently she disguised herself as a 'male' transformer to participate in those races). Sounds pretty cool to me. I have none of them, but would I like to have a look at them, oh boy!

Also technically movie Arcee is also a speedster (says on her bio).
