Prime and Megs rematch

Postby Raymond101 » Fri Sep 28, 2007 1:08 am

I am of the opinion that Prime was weakened after his fight with Bonecrusher and the fact that Megatron only had to fight and utterly crush Jazz before he faced Prime.

Suppose you have a PRIDE fight championship, with a ring that's a hundred times bigger than one for humans. On one side, a refreshed Prime, power 100%. On the other, Lord Megatron, power 100%.

Neither have any weapons apart from the ones they use (ie Prime can use his ion blaster, but can't jump out of the ring and throw something big at Megs). Not counting the 'cheating' that may happen, who would win?

In the ring, Prime and Megatron are free to use all weapons they have and their full power. Fusion cannon, chain whip, ion blaster, railgun, sword, fists, guns, etc. FIGHT!

They are both equals, so it bothered me how Megatron just tossed him around in the movie. I can understand how Prime just glanced Megs when he shot him with his gun, and Megs blasted him with his fushion cannon... sending him flying... but the way Prime got owned was kinda sad.

Without weapons I think Prime would have a slight advantage because Megs always lets his anger get in the way. However, from a movie context I dunno lol since they don't stick with the facts...

Prime killed bonecrusher with ease because he had no choice, that robo maniac would have killed everyone on the highway.

Megs and Prime were fighting in the middle of a city full of humans. Prime didn't want to risk killing anyone by throwing megs around.

I say, if the rematch took place on the wastelands of cybertron Prime would win, but end up sparing Megs besause of his high moral code.

Anyone want to fight a pissed off prime on the moon?....not me

u make a good point, which may be true, but the director of the movie didnt manage to convey the situation well to the viewers. As far as the audience was concerened...Prime got pwned.

just bothers me since Prime and Megs have been fighting for thousands of years since Cybertron, yet when they get to Earth Prime literally could've been killed by Megs after a few minutes. Surely there's a plothole there.

It is kind of annoying how Prime seemed like no match for Megatron. In G1 he was always a match for Megatron physically, and almost always won their fist-fights. The only times he didn't win was when something or someone (Spike mostly) distracted him. It was the rest of the Autobots who weren't up for fisticuffs.

Maybe this just means that in TF2 Prime will take the gloves off when he has to fight Megs again (and you know he will).

If Optimus wanted to defeat Megatron in a minute, he could have done it like he did against Bonecrusher on the highway.

But, in the city with crowded population, Optimus fought with caution. Naturally, he didn't want to kill everybody in the city for the sake of killing Megatron his own way.

That was his weakness. I remember what Megatron said to him in the city:
"You still fight for the Weak. That is why you Lose!"

Oh yea.

But who came up with the BRILLIANT idea of "hiding the Cube in the city"?

Yes, you're right to point out their history. It's because of their past that I had expected a more dynamic fight scene. I wanted, "Egad! Megatron's going to finish him...no, wait, Prime's got him!...But wait! Megatron's winning!...No, Prime is! Gadzooks!" and so forth but it didn't really feel that exciting, sadly.

yeah i think that Prime and Meg's are pretty evenly matched but I think Megatron is slightly stronger but i think that Prime would win in a fight.
