Took a bit of getting use to, still definitely preferred DoW over TW but it was still an enjoyable game. Had a problem with the video cut scenes, audio was out of synch, a patch probably would have fixed that but I couldn't be arsed downloading such things.

If I really wanted screw around with the computer players, I'd buy all the property around the resources that they were planning on building their tracks to. After a few minutes of it laying tracking all around the purchased zone trying to see if could get a station in catchment range, I'd see Company X has gone in bankruptcy

Don't forget Little Big Planet, that's become something of a hit to my knowledge. Don't forget Final Fantasy 13 Versus as well. I know FF XIII is coming to 360, but as of now Versus is still PS3 exclusive, to my knowledge.

So howcome the 360 wins all the graphics comparison test on Gamespot? 360 wins hands down in all the "latest" mutltiplatform games (fallout, dead space, force unleashed, soul caliber and they are still cutting back on effects in some games (mortal Kombat) to keep the ps3 running happy.

If you want I can give you all the reviews so you can cry a bit more..
that has been the general tendency over the years now and ps3 simply does not catch up yet.
Absolute Zero wrote:Most 360 games can run in 1080, while developers don't push the PS3 so far actually. The PS3's processor is harder to develop for, and when you port a game (which most companies are doing when they make multi-system games) to a system with better graphics, when done wrong (which is pretty common due to deadlines) the graphics end up looking jaggy. Look at RE4 on the Gamecube, beautiful game. Then the PS2 version came out and it looked like crap. It's not exactly rocket science figuring things out. Though personally, I had the benefit of being able to talk to people in the industry.

Absolute Zero wrote:This is like, year three for the PS3. By the time 360 hit year 2, it was running at 80% capacity. The system is going to be around for several years (PS1 was having games made for it for about 8, PS2 is about a decade old now). Something that was pointed out to me, and there's been rumors of Microsoft already planning a new console to come out within the next two years, is that Microsoft is very much focased on the "How can we make money now" while Sony tends to focas on building something for long term success.

Your sources have read the same sony PR reports as everyone I know What they forget is that it is a financial decision much more than a technological one.
Imagine an XB3, IT will be built on much the same technology that it is now (manycore x64 or PPC) and a custom graphics chip much like Xenos, not expensive, technology is there. in other words, a next generation xbox won't be more expensive than todays PS3. because that's where it hurts. PS3's development has cost it so much and the investment in "Cell" (along with Toshiba) needs some ROI this lifecycle. It's not that Sony wanted the PS3 to be this late and this expensive. Ofcourse, this means PS4 will just be a 12/16SPE design with another GPU and it will be closer than we think because everything it advertises it to be today (first blu-ray overall 1080p system) will pale with the next generation. Sony can't afford another cock-up because their stubborn feeling of superiority is costing them a lot in sales at the moment because a long lifecycle doesn't help you sell anything right now, they are selling roughly half of the consoles versus M$ and a third of of the software. (please, don't talk about the wii)
