I want Takara to do a repaint of Henkei Convoy in the blue colors that matched Powered Convoy. This is an example of what should be done. What else do you think HasTak could repaint, that would seem "right".

This one is a little out there but since i doubt hasbro will do an official classics springer triple changer, they could repaint drift with springers colors, and replace the two short swords with blurr's guns while keeping the large sword. also, if they dont make a wfc or classics arcee, it would be nice if they at least repainted animated arcee in G1 colors.

Totally agree with the blue Convoy idea. In fact I think it should become the number 2 if not number 1 repaint of a given Optimus Prime mold. Better yet, let's drop the red altogether and have all future Optimuses/Optimi(?) blue instead.

No I'm not being sarcastic, I really do wish they would do that :-(

Classic seekers Thundercracker and Sunstorm and whoever the third rainmaker is.
um... most other ideas have already been pointed out.
On that note, since they plan on a WFC Cliffjumper, how about a Tap-Out repaint of that?
Oh! And a WFC Soundblaster.

Personally I just wish Takara would reignite the Henkei line with some repainted releases from the Generations line. Trouble is I think it would all be Cybertrons since they already did the Gentei coneheads and characters like Straxus and Thunderwing are unfamiliar over there.

I still can't shake the sick need for Universe, or even Armada, Hotshot repainted as 'G1' Tailspin. Yeah, it's weird but I'd love it like a son.

So it still could be done. Gentei was an odd line for me being nothing but Destron repaints. There was that repaint of Classics or Henkei Bumblebee that was blue. Now Inferno and Jazz as Artfire and Stepper would be nice exclusives, with the Targetmaster to boot.

The Classics Bumblebee mold with a new head as Runamok and Runabout. I've been meaning to finish them for years but probably never will. Cybertron Red Alert as Trailbreaker. WFC Soundwave with new heads as WFC Ironhide & Ratchet. Generations Red Alert as Barricade.

I was aware of this, but I didn't bother considering it since 1: It would involve retooling the head and chest and I highly doubt Takara would do that just to get a familiar release. 2: Even if they did, that's still only one obscure Destron amid numerous more familiar Cybertrons.

Not that I wouldn't want to see that kind of thing, I just have reason for significant doubt. If I'm proven wrong then good on em, but otherwise I'm fairly certain the return of Henkei is little more than a pipe dream. :-(

Henkei isn't dead. Thunderwing to Black Shadow could be an exclusive. Not that hard to remold versus make a new mold. It's just something I wouldn't mind seeing that could happen. I think the premise that Henkei is strictly G1 kinda irks me a bit. I see them doing Henkei versions of Drift and the rest.

Actually, from what i understand, every Generations figure has two heads in mind, and considering that they're (Hasbro) after relatively popular obscure characters now, I think it is possible. I mean we got Straxus and Skullgrin from the same mold. If all else fails, kitbash.

No, it's not just you. I want to buy that figure just for the sole purpose of making a Rotorstorm. I'm already working on a Ironfist (with a scratch built head), and looking for a spare Cybertron Defense Red Alert to make into Pyro (with a scratch built head).

I would like to see the 2007 movie Barricade repainted and give a new head sculpt to make a Live action movie Prowl. Plus a retooled arm to get rid of the gimmick that's really annoying. They should probably remove Frenzy too.

They keep repainting him as Barricade, which is fine, I like Barricade. I'd just like to see that mold used for one of the other Transformers police cars.

Well that new Target two pack has a white Barricade, so that's 80% a wish...sort of. But with those colors and a slight head swap, you got Prowl. That would be a good nemesis for Barricade IMO.

Well, considering that the comic only just finished a few months ago, if Hasbro plans to act on it, we won't see original toys till next year, but repaints might be a different issue.

I only started doing some sculpting last year on making a Cybertron Smokescreen into a Jazz with a heavily modded body. I even gave him a proper Porsche chest. So far the Ironfist head is taking forever, but I finally finished with the face today, so it is on to the helmet. I think the trick is to get some filing tools and a decent set of craving tools/knifes. Pretty much all classic TF heads are a series of flat surfaces.

Edit: The idea for Ironfist and Pyro came from a Japanese TF kitbashing site. They even gave Ironfist a roof.

Oh, I totally forgot to include my repaint list:

Optimus Prime: Usually all of these molds are great, it is such a shame/waste in investment to have it used solely for one character.

Megatron: For the same reason above. Maybe Browning on growth hormones?

Classic Seekers: It's like crack, and Starscream needs a proper army. Hell, why not mix and match with the conehead seekers.

Cybertron Mudflap to Hosehead would be cool.

Universe Prowl into Siren, or a Omnibot.

Classic Bumblebee into Glyph, Tap-out, and Searchlight.

Generations Jazz into Ricochet, and another Omnibot.

Universe Sideswipe into a G1 colored Breakdown, plus more original characters, and what the hell, one more Omnibot.

Generations Blurr into Turbomaster Boss, and Deadlock.

ROTF Blazemaster into Blades.

ROTF Breakaway into a Predator, I forgot which.

Cybertron Thundercracker into Predator Snare.

Yeah I spotted him today. Maybe if he goes on clearance in a few months. I don't really need another sideswipe. I have the regular one and swerve and planned on getting Side Arms Sideswipe too.

I think it's been well established that Henkei isn't just covering G1 since they did their own take on the universe Hot Shot and the beasties. And I am totally down for head remolds to be released as Black Shadow and Dauros too, but that said it's still only 2 or 3 Destrons versus a load of Cybertrons... not that numbers like that ever seemed to affect Henkei before, but the ratio would still be quite unfair. Back on the subject of releasing remolds, I would kinda think that Takara would only do maybe 1 of each. Don't hold me to that, I'm mostly thinking about the whole Drift/Blurr thing. Yes I do want to see a Henkei Drift, and yes I will buy him and laugh at it for the rest of eternity. Of course, having said that I'm not sure how the Japanese feel about Drift since he's... well.

There was one more thing I wanted to say, but I can't remember right now and I'm getting pretty winded. Bottom line, I want to be proven wrong, but until I see something that confirms it my doubts shall remain.

Wouldn't be the most accurate use of the mold, but I think I'd actually prefer it--the wings on the original design looked a bit too "Gundam-y" for my tastes.
