Past that, though?
Generally I'm not into G1, so I don't really get much of a chance to repurpose. But... Sometimes I catch myself treating Generations Scoop as Wedge from RID.

Even though Octopunch is Shattered Glass, he comes in traditional G1 colors. I think I will repurpose him as Classics Octopunch with a simple purple Decepticon faction sticker.
Related Question: anyone know where to get those c-clip tentacles for Octopunch? I've seen them in pictures of the figure, but don't think they actually come with the Botcon package. Any leads?

All the one's I've seen are repainted LEGO parts.
According to TFW:
They're minifigure robot arms with purple horns stuck into them.

Maybe fire a PM to Zodconvoy who was working on a Shapeways printed helmet, trident and tentacles as mentioned in the thread below..

I'm using Classics Grimlock as a standin for AoE Grimlock because I think all the AoE Grimlocks look like crap. He works surprisingly well.

Im looking to fill in a couple of gaps in my Classics collection but hoping I might gain a little help with some ideas?
Thought about repurposing..
Could Cybertron Defense Hotshot be used as Pointblank! Passable?
In need of a Deluxe scaled white car bot to stand in as Tailgate (need my 'mini-bots to be at least Deluxe scaled). Perhaps Alternity Ultra Magnus?
Misfire is another figure I need to decide on. Looking at his futuristic jet alt mode and redish deco, I may try Fall of Cybertron Air Raid! Maybe?
Fall of Cybertron Thundercracker reminds me of Triggerhappy, so thats a possibility!
Just Slugslinger now....?

I had taken a look at this very figure in the Galleries and considered him as the alt mode is more or less spot on, but that bot mode is a little so-so!
Does anyone know if those blue/green/orange 'wing' parts sticking up can fold down to his back; also did this mould ever get a repaint in colours more like the G1 toys?

And it's only ever been redecoed (with a remolded head) as TCC Airazor.

Yep, thats what I meant, hoping that they may offer the 'look' of the G1 version, with the wings behind/to the side of the figure.
Its a shame an obvious blue deco wasnt done, as my painting skills arent tip top (my Lazy Customs Productions are proof of that)!
Another gap which is proving fairly difficult to fill is Sureshot! A nice orange/red/yellow buggy would be perfect

Leozack - Botcon Leozack (obviously)
GaiHawk - Pink Classics Starscream KO from the now-defunct KOToys
KillBison - ROTF Bruticus Blast Off
Jalgar - ROTF Crankstart
Drillhorn - Energon Barricade
Hellbat - PCC Darkstream
Deathcobra - The unreleased Energon Green Helicopter who's name I've forgotten.
I don't have a better pic at the moment (something I need to rectify) but here they are:

Ive just realised I could repurpose two of the Alternity figures as other characters that need a spot in my collection.
I already own Alternity Nemesis Prime, purchase an Alternity Ultra Magnus then I will have a matching pair of moulds which I could use as battlechargers Runabout and Runamuck!

Umm, Pointblank is a red Cybertonian car... CD Hot Shot is an armored truck... I'm gonna guess you meant HotShot as Crosshaairs, which wouldn't be a bad fit, but I will be looking for the new Cloud Roadbuster for that roll.
Pointblank howver OULD be done with the Universe Swerve (from Armada Blurr). A little paintwork could do a lot.
