before the days of classics/generations, this was my line up of TFTM unicron spawns! energons galvatron and dreadwing, and botcon cyclonus. all should be self explanatory aside from dreadwing... hes blue and turns into a boat thing. which i pretended was a space boat. close enough!

Just picked up the CHMS Deluxe Deep Cover which I intend to repurpose as my Classics Scamper!

I was going to stick with Alternity Nemesis Prime but decided to (re)repurpose him along with an Alternity Ultra Magnus as my Classics Runabout and Runamuck?

That said, the red windows on the CHMS Deep Cover would also make an ok Runabout but I would then need a white bodied KO of the Classics Sideswipe mould which just doesn't exist as far as I know? :???:

I haven't gotten it yet, but if I decide to get the "Breakout Battle" set, I'm going to be repurposing the Rollbar into Skid-Z (he's in vaguely similar colors, and his mold came from Skids, that's about as good as it'll get). After all, I need someone to go with Sky-Byte once I get him, right?

Okay, what you need to do is, all that expensive third-party stuff? Stick a pin in that and the net time you feel like spending an epic buttload of money, make Metroplex your top priority.

Last time I had a 'buttload of money' I HAD to order MP-10 Op Prime Asia Reissue as I had missed his TrU release and scalpers where asking silly prices!

I've got FoC Grimlock standing in as "Classics" Grimlock. I never liked the actual Classics Grimlock, so he'll have to do until Hasbro makes some proper Classic-verse Dinobots.

Hasbro: "But we already gave you G1-colored mechanical dinosaur Dinobots via SDCC 2014 and Amazon! What more do you want short of Masterpieces?"

It's like Hasbro's deliberately going out of their way to avoid making new toys of the Dinobots that look like the G1 versions.

I get the feeling we wouldn't be in this predicament if the G1 Dinobots had only been in multiple colors, instead of all gray, from the beginning.

I can only imagine the G2 colors for the AoE Dinobots: Snarl and Slug in red and green, Grimlock in blue, turquoise and yellow with tiger stripes, Slog in red and blue, and Strafe in blue and neon green. :lol:

At some point, someone should redeco the AOE Dinobots like this:

Grimlock - red
Slug - blue
Strafe - yellow
Slog - black
Snarl - maroon
Scorn - sky blue
Slash - purple

And if they wanna do more than one for some:

Grimlock - dark blue w/ teal
Slug - grayish white w/violet

Slug again - crimson and black

Slash - green
Snarl - orange

Strafe - white w/ black and gold

Simple fix, go G2 for mainline, G1 recolors for BBTS/Amazon/Botcon/SDCC/whatever exclusives:

While on the subject of multi-colored dinobots, I really do LIKE that the Age of Extinction dinobots are in multiple colors. I think they look very dull in greys and silvers and blacks.

Just been taking a browse through the Ebay shop of seller lena81822 and found this great figure which I might grab as a repurposed Guardian robot!

Coming in at just over 9inch in height this could cover a spot without taking up too much space.
