Mmmm- Not really. His arms are the same but his legs are restricted to small movements. You can probably get around that by detaching Jetfires feet from Prime's then more posing would be posible however you could probably only do one foot at a time since Jetfires feet help support Prime's. For flying poses just turn Prime's head up and he looks great. Also, The jet engines are more articulated than what I have pictured. They will go perpendicular to Prime or Jetfire. There are many ways to pose Jetfire when combine with Prime, you just have to move things around and find out what you like best. This for me is a display piece and won't see alot of action. He is very impressive in real life, I mean we are talking about two leader class TF's combining. As he stands in front of you, you'll see what I mean. It is a pretty incredible transformer!

the combined mode looks much better when you bring jetfores arms all the way foward and when you fold both wings down

Great. Now not only do I want to get Jetfire, now I need to pick up the new Prime figure, too.

I was gonna pass on Jetfire because I only wanted him to combine with Prime, and I only saw crappy pics of them, so i thought it would be a crappy looking toy combined. But man, this looks great! You just made WalMart $50!

Very cool! Aprecaite the pics.Especaily combining with Prime! This is a defenate buy for me! Only problem is now i need to get Leader Prime too. TYhis isn't a bad thing though. Just means i'll need to hold off on Leader Megs.

Thanks for the pics. Jetfire is due out tomorrow over here but I wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed. Can he point his thrusters over his shoulders like in the film to blast Megatron?

I bought Leader Jetfire yesterday, and I'm kind of disappointed. The figure seems like a giant conglomeration of kibble and anti-kibble. For example, in robot mode, you can see two cockpits--one on the head, and half on each arm. You can also see four turbines: one on each leg, and one on each of the thrusters on his backpack. Basically, the entire plane just folds up on his back, and the robot is sculpted without any consideration for where the airplane parts represented on the robot actually occur on the plane. In alt mode, the top view is beautiful, but it looks like there's a robot hanging out underneath the jet. If they had done away with the electronics, I think it would be a lot better, because the battery pack adds considerable unnecessary bulk to the figure.

Yep, that he can do. Looks really sweet as well.

I really like my Jetfire figure. Totally interesting details and the colors for the Blackbird are freaking perfect. He is a "back-pack" former, but still very good. Bot mode is accurate. The only thing i don't like a lot is the arms-they are frail little sticks. That is ok, since they are supposed to be that way.

I honestly thing he and Optimus combined looks great. It makes for an absolutely ginormously huge figure. Very big and extremely tough looking. I am very impressed with the engineering behind the comb. I love how the feet go together. One problem though......The first time my GF saw them combined, she asked why Jetfire was humping Optimus. When I showed her the panel that flips out of Jetfire and then attaches to OP's crotch.......well, she thought that was pretty humorous.

All in all, both are awesome figures. The combo of the two is very well worth the price IMO.

I think that looks plenty impressive, but I want to see Leader Class Starscream first...
I'm not sure I want to buy both him and Jetfire when I'm leaning towards getting the EZ Devastator...
I know this is nit-picky, but I wish Jetfire was thinner and more gangly in bot mode.

I've noticed that if you don't use Jetfire's crotch connector, you can still get some articulation from Prime's legs. But as Matt Z said, the figure could've benefited from not having electronics. Does Hasbro just mandate electronics in Leader class or something?

Yeah I think so. They always have them. Even as a kid I was never impressed with one voice sample and a vehicle sound.

I believe they feel it helps validate the price point and size.

I think a Leader class figure that turns into body armor for Prime and a honkin' SR-71 can go without electronics.

I found it difficult to combine him with Prime initially, as it was hard to line up the legs and crotch connector. The connection is fairly secure, though.

I find that if you fold up and cockpit pieces and fold up primes feet you get a way better look,

I combined mine to today to make "Power Up" mode, discovered a few things

1. that crotch connector is a pain to connect and disconnect, small flat screwdriver greatly assists
2. not using Jetfire's cane as part of the big gun looks a lot better
3. not using crotch connector gives more poseability, with it connected combo looks like it's going to fall over forward
4. combo is huge
5. definitely beats Cybertron OP/Wing Saber combo
6. Hasbro needs to release The Fallen in Leader class, Voyager is too small, unfair fight
7. playing around with various panels gives a beefier appearance (OP's left arm panels, various JF panels)
8. everytime I adjust the legs, the figure combo looks better

I tried this and I don't think it enables any more movement- it might a little when the crotch connector is undone, but it does make the PowerUp mode shorter. I like him being tall, it is so impressive, so I prefer the orign. way.

This was very similar to the review I was going to write of him. I do not have leader Prime with me now so I cannot combine him (on vacation), but this has to be one of my least liked bot mode TFs ever. Mine will never see bot mode, in fact it will be alt or Powered Prime...

I feel that the electronics are so worthless. The Transformation sound is always fun, but annoying after awhile, and the engine roar is okay, but the robot mode "I am Jetfire"... totally unneeded.

I love the SR-71 look, but the bot underneath ruins him.

The loose wings in robot mode, are also annoying to me, especially since alt mode is my favorite of the two.

Combined mode looks fun. I really hope that the thrusters can go higher over Prime's shoulders. I want him to have a particular looking aesthetic when combined, and I don't think I've seen it yet, which makes me worried.

Well what he really says is "Jetfire's my name" in a great scottish accent. And, yes, while unneeded I enoy this feature but what is more we need to remember is that these also need to please children. Kids love animated toys and Hasbro plays on that.

Well if you don't like his bot mode you more than likely will hate it when he is combined. So worry on, and hope ya kept your receipt.

seein those pics make me want him. Stupid question, you can buy LC Jetfire and he will combine with Prime correct --there is no 2 pack with special pieces/connectors??

I love the SR-71 mode, one of my favorite planes, but u can see too much robot underneath -looks bulky. I'm on the fence for now, but if i see him in the store, I'll seriously think about getting him for combo mode with my LC Prime.
