And the millions of drones he's going to have Sumdac develop, and he plans to use the AllSpark to boost their fighting power.

Not just the last three, EVERY series has had the the Autobots/Maximals and Decepticons/Predacons/Vehicons fighting over something:

  • G1 - Energon, energy sources
  • Beast Wars - Energon, Protoforms, Vok devices, stasis-locked ancestors
  • Beast Machines - sparks, the Oracle
  • RiD - energy sources, O-Parts, Fortress Maximus
  • Armada - Mini-Cons
  • Energon - Energon, what to do with Unicron's corpse
  • Cybertron - Cyber Planet Keys, the Omega Lock
  • Movie - Sam, Captain Witwicky's glasses, the All Spark cube
  • Animated - the Sacred Jewel Shards-- er, *ahem* I mean the AllSpark fragments

Now in the back of my head I get the feeling the next episode will return to usual, but if it was something like this one, I’ll enjoy it. I’m going to hope this will mark the end of some of the “go nowhere” episodes and keep the story going a bit.

I expect they will go back to 'go-nowhere' episodes for a while. It seems to be more usual in American made shows. The idea is to make the audience feel they can jump in at any point without having to get up-to-date on the latest plot developments. I think the main reason there was so much plot development in this episode is because they're kicking off Season 2.

Anyhow, the go-nowhere episodes haven't bothered as long as they develop the characters, or introduce new characters. They've actually established a lot of stuff in apparently 'go-nowhere' episodes that I think we can expect to be elaborated and developed upon in future episodes. I just hope they do have some sort of grand over-arching plan for the whole series.

Personally, I like nowheres. I'm not sure if it was neccacary for so many now, other than to really let the writers, and us, get a feel for the charcters, but I enjoyed most of them. If done right, they lighten the dark mood and throw in a slip up besides "Bot punches con. Con punches bot. Con flattnens bot into ground" I wouldn't consider a lot of theses as nowheres, such as along came a spider, as they give writers something to work with later Sure, Meltdown and Nanosec may have been pointless, but hey. And Headmaster was kinda done as an homage. Because they felt some twisted urge to do that.

1. I think the Optimus Prime's reason for being a washout has something to do with getting screwed over by Sentinal Prime (as do many of you, I see) but I also think that something happened and somehow Blackarachnia was involved.

2. Maybe Sari was made from the Allspark or perhaps Sari IS the Allspark?

Well, the way I see it, the first season was more of an opportunity for kids to get into the show, and get to know and like the characters. To draw in a steady audience before things really get going. I believe they're going to be repeating most of those episodes over the next two weeks.

It's funny, we're already into season 2, and it feels like things are only just getting started.

I figure it had something to do with the flashbacks in "Along Came a Spider."

That's kind of doubtful. The AllSpark sat comfortably in the Autobot ship until Megatron attempted to steal it in "Megatron Rising." Sumdac wouldn't have known about it.

There's one other theory. Remember aaaalllll the way back to the beginniong, ewhen teh Allspark first modiefied her key? and she said something about you better not have bbroken my key? Perhaps by plan or by fault. maybe the allspark erased her from existance?

By existance, I meant from computer logs. Since all that is now on digital, how hard would it be for an alien pice of tech to go "ZAP your not in the database"

Very difficult, considering birth certificates are kept on paper.

Well, Sari is definitely an organic for the following reason:

Look at Blackarachnia's episode. Everything organic shrivels up and begins to die, INCLUDING SARI.

And the argument of "Robot covered in organic exterior" won't work becuase she was DYING when that happened. Why would a robot with only an organic exterior begin to die from something that kills organics only? Only her skin would die, but she wouldn't. Yet she was showing signs of weakening and internal pain.

So maybe she wasn't born the "natural way", but like someone said before, she could be like a GI Joe Synthoid with some Megatron spark infused with her DNA to make her alive, or something.

I wasn't referring to Blackarachnia herself. I was talking about the plants/etc. in the surrounding area.

Personally, I think Sari is a techno-organic construct of some kind, obviously more DNA based than nanotech considering what we've seen in the episode so far. Exactly what kind of "construct" she is, we'll have to wait further into the series.

Then again, it's entirely possible that she's just a clone of someone Sumdac might have known in the past, though it wouldn't entirely explain the "glow" we saw in her DNA strand in "Megatron Rising (2)."

Just saw this episode on youtube. I loved it. Sentinel Prime is a complete d-bag. I expected that. Magnus is pretty cool. jazz is awesome. Plain ans simple. Can't wait for his toy to come out. It's going in the Jazz collection. I love this series even more with every episode.

I have to assume that Sari is the first ever organic robot. She has no mother (as far as we know), she's been kept away from all civilization, she relates much better to robots than people, and not to mention that when she asked the Allspark why she was chosen, it showed her a DNA strand. Then of course theres the fact that there is no record of her birth or ever existing.

Very awesome plot twist that made a few things click from prior episodes.
