Big Power Rangers shakeup this week, Hasbro has licensed it to Playmates! Let's be fare, Hasbro hasn't done nearly enough with the license since they purchased it so I'll be nice to see someone else handle it. This is for kids toys, Hasbro (and probably Super7) will still be handling the collectors stuff.

My hope is for a budget friendly massive Dino Zord with lights and sounds like Playmates did with Voltron. Also hope they do more than just the original series and the most recent like Hasbro was so focused on when it came to the kids stuff.

Just to make it clear to everyone here (because I have seen people thinking this elsewhere), this is not Hasbro giving away Power Rangers to Playmates. This is just Hasbro letting Playmates make a line of MMPR toys for youngsters. Hasbro still owns the brand.

I only ever saw the 8 inch figures one time in store and that was going into Christmas 1994 when they were pushing the Thunderzords and White Tiger Zord big time. Never saw them again, or the chromed movie variants, after that.

I really like what I'm seeing. Yes, Hasbro just did the flip changers but those were store exclusive and as the guy said at Toy Fair, they're a cornerstone of the brand. I'm just happy I'll finally get a blade blaster.

Ah yes, they did do two box sets for the larger Legendary Defender figures and one for the smaller figures.
And now that I think about it, the Megazord should be roughly the same as the 16" Voltrons, give or take an inch.
Man, it would be really fun if they (they being anyone at all) did a crossover where the six Zords (including the green Dragon Zord) form a Megazord mirroring Voltron, just with the Pterodactyl Zord forming the back wings instead of chest.
