I remember before the flight home from Rhode Island last year, talking to some security personal about all the Megatron's they had problems with as far as setting off alarms and such with collectors passing through security.

I found it rather funny.

Does that mean they confiscated a bunch, because I remember reading stories that they were not allowing G1 Megs on planes in carry-ons... :-(

Even the Encore reissue and MP versions needed safeties put on them before they were sold in the States.

Actually though, I don't remember there being a lot of if any G1 Megatrons at Botcon

I cannot believe that anyone would be so unintelligent as to take anything that looks like a weapon in their carry on baggage. There are plenty of people out there that just do not have a lick of sense, unfortunately some of them even go to Transformercons.

Glad to hear your lady's coming this year, Ryan. I'm kinda curious to meet the queen of Seibertron, lol. Katie's coming back with me this year too, I'm sure she'll be eager to meet her as well.

Wow, it seems like quite a few of us will be bringing girlfriends/wives.

The strange irony here is we'll be the ones doing most of the shopping!

My fiance is coming and I believe there is a mall across the street or very near by so i'm in deep sh-t! She's really kickass though and will help me shop for Tfs and then we'll head there for a bit then to the Bar!

Sadly, the last time I talked to them, right before registration came out, they weren't planning to come. But, at least it seems there will still be plenty of us there. We'll have to drink one for them.

Anyone know when they have their drawing for tickets to next years con? It is on Sunday.

Letting us know three weeks ahead of the con that it was going to be about TF Animated really bites the big one. Since I have absolutely no interest in TF Animated, do you guys know if there will be any other panels by V/A that is not TF Animated related?

Well, David Kaye has worked a lot of series not just Animated. I imagine, but don't know, that they will get a few more guest voice actors. Beast Wars folks seem to make the rounds a bit every other year or so.

Unfortunately for me, my fiance has to stay home this BotCon.

Botcon draws nearer and I still have no idea if my wife is coming with me or not. I reserved the room for us, but she's not exactly a TF fan. Im only there for saturday and sunday so I'm gonna miss alot, but I hope you guys and gals would be willing to fill me in on things.

Another thing, is it wise to bring a camera or is that not allowed? My first con so I have no clue and didn't see anything on it on the website.

A camera is welcome in most areas, but certain panels they will ask you to turn off cells, cameras, etc....mainly the HASBRO new stuff panel, so no pics in there, but most other places and panels it should be okay!

hey man, I take it this is your first Botcon because you seem to have a lot of jitters. Last year was my first and I was worried about a couple things, too. Once I got there I had a blast, though.

As for your wife, how have you asked her about it? For me,before I even considered going myself I asked my wife her thoughts on it. Once I saw she approved, we made it an "us thing". You might want to let her know that a lot of us are bringing our significant others, so she might have someone to talk to besides a bunch of toy craving men.
