I got my Shadow Commander trailer in the post the other week and i put it all on my Nemesis Prime but i noticed that the shoulder armour and the arms are quite lose and sometimes the arms kinda fall down i was wondering if this is normal and if im the only other person this has happened to.

Oh and has everyone that has a Shadow Commander has put the elimination marks on the big gun and where exactly?

It sounds to me like you bought the bootleg. The bootleg is well known for having those problems.

I have FansProject's D.I.A. Commander (Red and blue repaint of that mold) and the arm pieces (shoulders included) aren't loose. In fact, sometimes they're a bit too tight.

It definitely sounds like you got a bootleg on your hands.

Hey dude thanks for the info i read your post and then i looked on the fansproject site because i remembered them saying that there was knock offs out there and they had a knock off finder to figure out the differences so i checked it out and yeah it is and now i have noticed other little things like spray work and paint spots

Ok lame attempt at humor..

The easiest way to spot the knock is the lack of screw holes..The Ko version uses a cheap adhesive to put peices together, not screw holes. Also if you look inside the arm peices there is this little tiny peice of plastic towards the fist , if that part is not there then you defintly have a KO. I actually got mine at Botcon not too long ago and I went over it peice by peice to ensure that it was legit.. The sticker sheet is a dead giveaway as well, it should have a color bar somwhere on it , the KO does not..

Belive me when it comes to 3rd party stuff, you have to be careful because there are people out there that will swindle you for every cent...

Yeah i looked throught the parts and as i was getting through it i just noticed the K.O signs like screw holes, lose joints and parts that didnt stay clicked in when transformed but the sticker sheet cemented it for me. Im not to stressed because i only payed a quarter of what the real version is worth so its not all bad and the hands and shoulders do hold the igear weopons that i got. I'll be abit more careful next time.

Thanks guys for the help i wouldnt have thought of it being a K.O.

The comic images are the same as for City commander, Whats exactly wrong witht the pages? My Shadow commander is packed away and I cant pull it out right now but Im familiar with it.

you know how theres the comic itself then there are the assembly instructions. well the assembly instructions are in the wrong order like the 1 page has it all fully assembled and the couple pages over its giving instructions to put the legs, shoulders and arms together

Reminds me of SDCC this year, I was at a booth where I was interested in buying a DIA Commander for $90, I was looking at it and inspecting the box (I wasn't sure if the bootlegers ever created a KO of this repaint) so the guy who was working looked at me confused, I asked him if he knew if it was the bootlegs because he had a bunch of Commanders. He looked at me like I was trying to offend him. He explained to me how it was a 3rd party company product somewhat with an attitude, so I returned explaining the KOs and he apologized, and explained what to look for.

Anyway sorry to hear about the bootleg bro, but if you paid 1/4 of the price then I guess you got what you paid for. Could you possibly take pics, I was wondering if it was worth it, maybe to buy an extra bootleg one just for customization.

I got a contact that orders what i want in and sends it to me. But yeah at the end of the day you get what you payed for and im not to worryed. I was thinking about getting another one to cut down and and make into a motormaster like in the IDW comic

Well, I should have bought one when they we're cheaper and more abundant. So I had to go with finding a KO. Which, my excellent EBay seller hooked me up with. I'm guessing I got a newer model or something. Because the arms are very good and have the clips in them. The shoulders are loose though, but I think I got a fix for that, as well as strengthening the hands a bit more. But I'm hoping you guys can help me with one question that I can't find googling the internet. It came with a small bag with a City Commander faceplate and some pegs... what are these pegs for? I can't really find any use for them on the figure. I took several pictures, but don't know how to insert them yet on here...been a while since I've been on this forum....way back when it was the custom wip with TF Master.

The faceplates allow you to change the face. It's a gimmick that FP included in their Shadow Commander set. You can change the face to the one you like.

The pegs are to fill in the screw holes so it looks seamless. A neat addition to a great set.

I'm not sure you have a bootleg though. I don't recall any of the bootleg sets coming with the pegs.

ImageThis is the sticker sheet that came with him. From what I can see it doesn't have that color code bar on the lower left.
ImageAnd this one should be the pegs and faceplate that came with him.

I could also try and post the comic from start to finish If you'd like. So every1 can see how backwards it is. Which reminds me, if any1 has the original and the comic/instruction guide handy. Is the back cover of it suppose to be like the front but only mirrored to where everything is backwards. Thanx about the faceplate explanation, but already knew that from having the City Commander Missiles/Gun/Face upgrade set. I like him better with the battle mask then mouth showing. The two other noticeable ko signs are the big guns tab's are straight and not angled. And the tape on the box is square and not a circle. It's these stupid pegs that are killing me. It's like putting together a bookshelf and finding several unused screws leftover.

The Commander sets (doesn't matter what color it is, or if it's the original or new mold), all are glued together, and sparingly use screws. Screws wouldn't do much to help, honestly.

The rod pins for the hinges are there, they're just a different type of rod from what FP uses. It's one of the telltale signs.

OK, sorry the two bags are together in that last shot. So no, KO Shadow Commander came with two faceplates(1 on figure,1 in bag) and the pegs, sword, backwards instructions, and the trailer of course. My TFX-03 City Commander Add-On Set came with the other faceplates, missiles/rockets, and his transforming gun. I just kept them together not to lose parts. But I guess since they are glued together, then there really is no reason for the pegs. Which is kind of a bummer. Here's a couple of photos I snapped a moment ago.

Both just chillen, and waiting on Powered Convoy now.
