First MP I purchased? Hasbro 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime from TRU back in 2004.

I remember seeing that 20th anny OP at Walmart around that time. It seemed so expensive back then.

He might be old news, but I've wanted the "dead" version for a long time and I can't believe they haven't done a dead MP10 yet.

MP01 is a big boy. And yes, him and MP05 look good together. And the pair also go great in a Beast Wars display too! Anyways, he is heeaaavy. Almost to his detriment. He can be difficult to pose. But his details (moving pistons, rubber tires, hydraulics) and gimmicks (light up matrix) are awesome. I suggest grabbing one if you can find one at a decent price

I'm just thinking this is the year to announce key players from TF:TM. I feel like it has been mentioned before, when 3rd party companies ALL start producing similar figures (Reflector, Insecticons, Shockwave, Hound, Galvatron, Sunstreaker, Ironhide/Ratchet) Takara is usually pretty close with an official (although the only officials are Ironhide/Ratchet and Shockwave).

I'm hoping that the Diaclone repaints of the Nissan vans aren't this year.

I'm hoping that a Galvatron or Megatron are announced.

I don't see MP Springer coming out but maybe an MP Arcee with how well Generations has been received.

Hound and Sunstreaker were by Prime's side when he delivered "Megatron must be stopped..no matter the cost." And Sunstreaker could definitely be a re-shell of Wheeljack (my goodness that MP is glorious).

I mean, if they give us a new Megatron and Reflector, the Nemesis crew would be finished!

Was Arcee well received though? Or did it just appear that way with how little the pink girl car reserves were to begin with? But then again Takara has released theirs twice so who knows...

I'm not sure we'll ever see a "re-shell" in the MP line. Remold sure (new heads for a Diaclone fella ect.) but I'm pretty they're going mold to mold. G1 had two different Lambo molds, so similar as they may be to each other (or other molds) I feel they'll both get new from scratch molds.

Heck ya! I think he is a clue that all the Movie cast are in the works. I've also thought they may be pushing towards Galvy so they can delay on a new Megatron. I hope that's not the case, but ...

I wouldn't terribly mind if that was the case, but it sucks for those who don't have (or are against the idea of) Apollyon. But even then, Galvatron is one of my top 5 favourite TF characters ever, so getting him before Megs 2.0 still wouldn't have upset me much.

I would LOVE an MP Galvatron. Currently, I'm waiting for XTB Abaddon as my Galvatron of choice (as I do like Apollyon). Three 3rd party ones have been announced, but still no Takara!! No license on that design either (Walther TECHNICALLY is a license for an MP Megatron 2.0). Dang it all to heck, now I need to get an MP09!!!!

Right?! I know the 3rd Party companies started off making figures that HasTak hasn't, but the "MP" scale HAS to get HasTak's attention. IT HAS TO!

They could just downscale MP-05 and it wouldn't be that bad!! I kinda feel like Galvatron is a given. As I mention above, there's no license and at least two versions to produce (Cartoon and Toy).

I think she was well received due to not having a good G1 version to have (TFA was close). They can repaint a bunch, possibly even make Elita-One out of her (who knows what her altmode is anyway, amIright?! )

So maybe re-shell was the wrong term, but follow that transformation and it's PERFECT.

I'm just going to get the Hasbro release of both, should be $200 or less if I find decent versions..

If they only ever gave us MP Galvatron, I could die happy. I'm used to living life with not a lot of options for gun Megs. I just want a leader for my Cons. Galvs would do nicely. If they give us a Megs, GREAT!

I would really like to see the Insecticons soon. Maybe the size of Bumblebee?
And then I would also get the inevitable Diaclone color re-release.

Finally decided to drop in. Things look awesome dude!

I haven't been the most active Seibertronian this week, cause it was a long/busy/sh!tty one. I got my Throttler on Mon/Tues and didn't even get him assembled till Saturday night. So now it's time for....



I really like him. Anyone else think the name Throttler is bad-ass? It could be a metal band! He's relatively simple to combine. That is to say he's more complex than a CW combiner but faaarrr simpler than the likes of Intimidator or Quantron. Also he's pretty solid to boot. Apparently There's two ways to assemble the torso: Shinebug as a glorified backpack, or as a glorified Blackjack/Groove. I went that route because it makes Shiny relevant and hides Sideload.

Captain Torso (Sideload) gets no nice words from me. I don't like Orangey at all, he's a sharp fiddly panel ridden nightmare. But 5/6 ain't bad. The other 5 are pretty great, especially Shinebug. I would seriously recommend Shiny as a stand alone purchase... BUT his price tag is pretty high simply for the fact that he comes with a pile of combiner junk.

I put together an action pose and a side by side with my nearest/handy CW dude for y'all!

I remember liking all the individual bots and even considering a few as one-offs.
I like the symmetry you get in the shoulders even though it's two different bots. Do they transform real similar? And the combiner head is not contained by the torso bot, correct? Is it attached to like a big shoulder bracket piece?

I changed the chest configuration slightly. I think it's more suitable.



Cobwebs, all his combiner pieces are not even slightly integrated. The separate pieces are: feet, knee joints (connect shins to thighs), hands, and torso bracket (head and shoulders). And yeah, the two leg dudes and two arm dude transform quite similarly.

I always thought he was called Throttleboss (as I saw that name on a YouTube review of him).
