G1 cartoon. Can cold, calculating logic overcome insane rage and animal instinct?

Well, as insane as Galvatron is, he's still a calculative minded sob, smart, and psycho, all in one. Predaking is a MASSIVE combiner, larger and more powerful than Bruticus. Bruticus' only upside being his massive amount of artillary. Led by Shockwave, a threat, but nothing Galvatron can't easily handle with his bare hands alone, and if he were to resort to firing his cannon, keep in mind it's powerful enough to destroy entire planets with one shot, let alone break apart Bruticus, and destroy Shockwave. I give it to Galvatron and Predaking. A slight skirmish, for sure, but Galvy wins in the end.

True. When I thought of this I was actually thinking of the comics, but I figured more people were familiar with the cartoon. Would the comics version fight have a different outcome?

Not to complicate the issue here, but which comics? Marvel Shaockwave was able to overthrow Megatron and beat him in combat at least once, where as DW Shockwave was so sadistic and logically cold and driven. I guess the Combaticons/Predaking part would go to Predaking, he wupped Bruticus fairly easily in the DW books.

Shockwave v. Galvatron though, I'm pretty torn. Just on a toss up, I'll take Galvatron.

Well, then it doesn't really make a difference, does it?

But, to answer, I was thinking of G1 Marvel comics.

Matter of fact, I was referring to the G1 Marvel version of every character. Sorry for not clarifying...

Shockwave wouldn't fight Galvatron at short notice without very strong motivation. If he really wants to kill or otherwise neutralise Galvatron, he'd do it later and make it look like an accident or an enemy attack. As for the Predacons, Shockwave would find some devious way to make them loyal to him.
