They got their Fortress version, but as The Rebirth was eventually released in Japan, the Cerebros featured in that three-parter kept his "Cerebros" name in the Japanese version, and coupled with his being bonded to Spike (which wasn't the case with Fortress), Cerebros would be a different character to the Japanese than Fortress, so I could totally see Takara doing a special release of the Hasbro Cerebros figure complete with the Hasbro Titan Master and given a more show-accurate deco (i.e. - no random blue shoulders that the Hasbro version has for some reason) to represent Rebirth Cerebros for their market.
And with the figure having built-in electronics, it'd be extra cool if they could get the Japanese voice of either Spike, Cerebros, or Fort Max from the Japanese dub of The Rebirth to say some quotes, like how the got the Japanese voice of Fortress to say some quotes for Fortress's figure.
I was more thinking of them doing it as a special campaign figure or limited edition release, like an LG-EX type ordeal.Kurona wrote:I very highly doubt that would happen just for the extra head.
I'd friggin' love it because it'd mean I could get the awesome Cerebros figure without having to pay for that big useless lump he comes with, but it just doesn't seem viable to me.

After all, they've done more for less that what the extra head offers (i.e. - straight redecos and such).
Maybe, but they do at least seem to dig exclusives, what with how many they so often have.Kurona wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I was more thinking of them doing it as a special campaign figure or limited edition release, like an LG-EX type ordeal.Kurona wrote:I very highly doubt that would happen just for the extra head.

I... suppose, but I can't see them doing that still since I doubt anyone really cares about Rebirth in Japan.
