Anyone else notice this split second cameo? On the tank, firing his uzi, in a crouched position, behind Lennox, Ratchet in background.

Both Jeffrey Witty and seibertron.com member Psychomud have noticed something pretty cool in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen.
GI. Joe member Snake Eyes has a short came appearance in the movie.

Yesterday (here in South Korea) I went to go see TF:RotF again. I noticed something about 2 hours into the movie. A glimpse of one of the soldiers dress in all black leather. The camera zooms in to Major Lennox who is callin back for help and next to him in the background I saw this leather elbow - looked familiar. For a third time in the scene I say the same figure in black on the same tank (in the gunners position) firing the machine gun. All 3, split seconds on camera.
Being that I am in South Korea and illegal copies are sold in the street, I went to a friend who had a copy to check out the scene again. Low and behold - SNAKE EYES! Crouched on the tank firing his uzi!

Mr. Witty even supplied a screen shot, which isn't that good but you can still see what he means.

While this is cool and all Jeffrey Witty and we at seibertron.com oppose illegal copies of not only Transformers ROTF but any movie.

I don't think that is Snake Eyes at all. I got this pic from the trailer. Both of the guys in the tank looks like regular soldiers. :roll:

you never know they could just edit the movie, i dont think they would want to show snake eyes in the trailer, they prob swapped the guy out and put in snake eyes b/c well gi joe is right around the block

there are plenty of things different in the trailers than the movie. for example, the "it looks exactly like a truck" line which got cut and the fallen teleportation scene in the some of the trailers lack all of the autobots that are shown in the actual film. so it is entirely possible they could edit in snake eyes for a split second. that being said i don't know if i believe this or not, but it would be a cool little tie in.

slightly off topic, but anyone know where(other than "in the desert") the r2-d2 cameo is in rotf?

Just saw the scene in question via a streaming site just to see if he really is there and yes he is!
You can even see his elbow in one shot just like described.

Tbh when you see the HD version, and know what your looking at (seriously it looks like a black blob on the cinema-cam pic) you can quite clearly make out the features that it is the exact same soldier in both photo's. Just because the guy is black (is it Epps?) and his skin tone happens to blur with his uniform we get people shouting that its Snake Eyes.....Its not. Seriously.

I watched it again and it's not the same solder in one shot you can see a black suited arm with a silver or gray band around it. Also the outlines don't match he seems to have a few things more on his back. Anyway I'm currently working on a better clearer screen shot and then I will repost this article.
