It's safe to say the site is going to be increasingly nutty for the next three months, and come 7-4-07 I think we can expect a surge of new, if fleeting HMW players.

Also, of course, I'm sure S-tron will have various special features and celebratory widgets about the rest of the site come the day to honour this auspicious occasion.

So, are we going to organize anything special for that week?

For example:

Is there anything we can do to make new players feel more welcome during that week, and more inclined to stay after the movie hype fades?

- For one thing I figure we should push the Q&A and Help threads really hard that week. An updated history and status thread would be helpful too probably.
- All of us should fortify our patience and tolerance as a hundred people suggest that the game needs triple changers and gestalts.
- We should probably all agree to play nice and set aside the more controversial issues for that seven days.
- Hold a movie-themed tournament beginning on 7-5-07, with a plot-emphasis on level 0-1 missions.

All of these are things I think our little group can do as part of S-tron's overall celebration, and i think it's all stuff Ryan would probably appreciate, especially us being on good behavior and running a tournament that will boost page views.

And of course, a biggy, urge the admins to update the available Alt selection with all the fanmade movie-alts on 7-4-07.

All excellent ideas, particularly the movie alts and the tourney with the emphasis on the 0-1s. Give the new movie fans a chance to jump right in on something exciting.

I was planning on being in the theater for the movie

I'd love to see a small tourney that week. I have most of that week off to so when I'm not in the theater I'd be free to help out if needed. :grin:

So people want something done huh? Sounds like a reason to use that Support Staff forum which hasn't been touched in two months. Don't expect anything great though.
