Some Minor stuff

Postby jimsloth » Sat Mar 24, 2007 5:57 pm

Just a few of the minor updates I made but never posted. First Titanium Scourge, I painted his facial hair black and cut his forearms so they can bend 90'

Then Soundwave and Devastator, minor face painting and red tint on eyes.

Lastly, I mentioned this on a previous thread but thought I'd show pictures. Alternate transformation for Alternators Skids for all of you who repainted him into either Ironhide or Rachet. No modding needed, just flip around the back kibble. This is to give it more of a G1 windshield look... G1 toy that is.

nice creative work there. I can't say I'm a fan of that alternate Alternator form, but we always need new original transformations.
Because of Devastator being exclusive, I would have been afraid to paint him. :> I have one. I probably would have made a new visor for him. Maybe I would have done the minor changes to his forehead, but I probably would have preferred to find a RID Wedge to paint the head from scratch.

True, but I got him on clearance, and I actually bought two sets. The other is still in the box. I can't remember exactly off hand, but I think I payed about $12 per Devastator.

oh yea, just repainted the face of this little guy. Always felt he deserved the name more than the stupid throttlebot.

OK, I know these two have been done to death, but I finally got around to finishing them for myself.

And here's one I haven't seen before. This one is still a work in progress. I'm making a T-top for him in clear plastic and dark tinting it, and making the slitted rear window. Oh, and I'm covering his rear wheels like I started to on the front.

One question though, does anyone know how to remove the eyes on this mold without hurting them? I want to switch them out with clockers blue ones. Right now I removed the gold paint from his eyes (leaving DARK gray) and he looks dead.

kinda, but not so blocky. I'm keeping the seats on the arms. I don't think I want the windows rolled up. The back window will be smaller and rounded. There won't be bright silver on the chest, maybe the dark gray plastic thats under the white paint. I hadn't seen that, but I never claimed it was the most original thought in the fandom. Hasbro did most of the work repainting clocker red.

Actually been thinking about doing the same thing, just haven't bothered with it yet.
