my bets on sonic team

Without powerups i could see Team sonic edge out a win, a fight in either Kingdom would give sonic's team more mobility and well more speed. The mechanics of sonics rings out shine the limitations of a single mushroom, or series of coins. Taking story mechanics and sonic becomes a near god.

Metal Mario is to slow and star power would only last as long as Sonic's equivalent invicibilty box.

I think this battle has already been won... ever since Sega crashed out of the console market and Nintendo got all their games on their console. =o

Sonic kind of became Mario's bitch at that point.

well by franchise sense yes the plumber's corperation has a hedgehog's corperation for there pet.

by character... The mascot Mario is older, more known, and popular every concieveable age bracket and focus group. Nintendo Thanks ron jeremy for that

But then it's like pitting Superman against Spiderman. Spidey can't beat the Krytonian kid from smallville but has been seen as a more endering character. a believable character without a god complex. Lately franchise Spidey been beating franchise Superman. hmm.. maybe Superman and Captain marvel would be a better comparison.

Again i think the original poster was pitting the characters against each other and not the franchise, or companies that own the marketing rights to them.

Just because I'm a completely loyal Sonic nut, I'll say Sonic Team.
No offense to the king of Nintendo, but seriously...
