I actually think it is pretty cool. However, I doubt it's real ROTF fare.
1. As mentioned earlier, his hands are too bulky and human like. They really can't be explained away in the transformation like virtually all the others.
2. DIdn't we see a leaked video of a Frenzy-like puppet being filmed that had "dreadlocks" and was very bestial? I though that was going to be Ravage.
3. The writers debunked the "truck theory"....allegedly, anyways.
And to those who say he needs to look "more G1"...ummm...no he doesn't. We're in the minority here folks...mebbe 5-6 thousand rabid fans in a global population of 6.5 billion. I'm sure the movie would make money even if we all boycotted it because he's trukk not tapedeck or whatever. $50,000 dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to the $700 million the first movie made. They are using their imaginations rather than sticking to outdated ideas of what the bots should look like. So eyes, visor, satellite, tapedeck, pickup, whatever...we need to accept him however he turns out and be grateful that they even chose to listen to some of our ideas rather than just ignore us. The webcast with the characters last year? They didn't need to do that. They don't have to keep telling us the little things they do and answering dozens of questions from the fanboys who are mad because Optimus wasn't a short-nosed semi like in their childhood. But they do...and I for one am grateful for that. It's life people...deal with it as best you can.
