But it is true, time does not always equal quality. Films like Spider-man 3 and Jurassic Park 2 were in production for years and years, and they turned out like crap. Other movies like Spider-man 2 (and other films I can't think of right now) were filmed in just under two years, and ended up being great!

I believe Pirates was shot in under two, maybe LOTR as well.

How about Prowl vs. Barricade in TF 2.

BTW the 'leaked script' was debunked as Burn said. Although, some parts may be similar, this is not the script according to Don Murphy.

*New news about the 'leaked script' BTW, apparently, it was an early submission, by someone in some sort of official capacity, but we are not being told who, putting it along the lines of being legit, but not something that they are going to use.

That is what TFW is saying comes from Orson at Don Murphy's boards anyway.

to all the ones who want the dinobots in the sequel, this is what i think should happen. it's quite simple.....megs is obviously deep in the ocean. the remains of the allspark in him come alive and combine with dinosaur fossils that are buried deep in the same ocean and there you have the dinobots. too bad they would look pathetic with the bayformer makeover. seeing as how they were so wrong with primes mouth, imagine grimlock without HIS faceplate or even someone like wheeljack without his. just sad.

they gotta bring in Sideswipe and Sunstreaker.. for some awesome Jet Judo year 2008 ^^

Wheeljack and Hot Rod has to be in the movie as well

anyways... as long as they get some Jet Judo & the crazy inventor Wheeljack, I'm satisfied ^^

This is the perfect opportunity to incorporate real dinosaur's teeth!

I wont condemn the sequel before seeing it ... however with all that was wrong with the first movie and this script be turned out so quickly, I have very low expectations for this one. Considering that this is hollywood and the first film did well financially, we can expect more of the same. With the Allspark and the glasses now irrelevant, Im curious to see how they are going to force the boy and the girl into the sequel

What else would give us our 'alien's looking at human culture references', allowing for comedic and witty interaction?

Maybe the Decepticons will try to cut them open to better identify how human systems are like their own creating a pretender human sized shell for each giant robot so they can really be in disguise...

Or they could give them armor and have them Transform into the Autobots heads, or weapons.

Or they could have all the TFs transfer their minds into human bodies ("Almost Human") and have them battle that way, giving us practically no TF involvement at all.

These are just some preliminary ideas, if they don't like these ideas, I suppose they can come up with some of their own.

You know, you should really send these ideas to Hasbro.

I'll go against the grain and say I really don't want Sunstreaker and Sideswipe in the movie.

They were never interesting characters to begin with, and it's just more 1984-G1-only stuff that I think the movies should stay away from...

I actually would not mind Sideswipe, but he's just a warrior with a 'twin' brother, so basically cannon fodder.

I'd rather see Jetfire, Mirage, Grimlock, Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod, Arcee, Kickback, Blitzwing, and Thundercracker.

All 3 LotR films were filmed in one clump over about 20 months (plus some fortnight reshoots later on for the later 2 films). That shows you that more time does not equal better movies.

The story has to be strong in this film, and if they are going to end this film in a semi cliff-hanger (ala Two Towers, PotC2) then there had better not be an extremely long wait (over 18 months) before the third film is released.

This is what I really want to know though:
Is 2 going to be stand alone, or are 2 and 3 going to tie into one another/follow each other directly on (in terms of story, not release).

I would say this has been in the works for a little while. Think about it: the writer's strike has been on the horizon a while, and it's never gotten this close, so Spielberg got the writers to think about the sequel while in post-production of the movie.

And please, no dinobots, I bet you. They left a bad impression after the original '80s movie.

And no Hot Rod, please.

That's all I ask.

I want a good sequel. They need to take there time and get the script right. And secondly I don't care what extra charcters are introduced in it I just want Megatron to return, and more screen time for the Decepticons. Thats it.

About as dumb as it is to have a giant robot 'pee' on a human. A giant robot on the good guy team no less.

I don't see why he couldn't fly in robot mode, as they did on TV.
