A tricky battle for both combatants, I would say.

I'd elaborate and all that, but I'm pretty tired. I'll give my thoughts on this one next time.

This one all depends on where the battle takes place.

In an area with a roof or low celing, Motor Master.

In an opean area with a lot of space, Starscream.

Yes, yes... Too true. Their alt-forms and personal battle preferences play large roles in this fight.

As we know, Starscream is fond of taking to the skies and strafing the life out of his opponents, raining death on them with cluster bombs and null-ray blasts; whereas Motormaster relishes the brutality of hand-to-hand combat, dismantling his foes with his bare fists.

I agree with you, NT, but I believe Starscream would have a hell of a time cutting down Motormaster, even with the advantage of an open area.

As it was mentioned before, in an enclosed space, Motormaster would win, in open area Starscream wins.

Also, ina firefight Starscream would probably win, but in hand-to-hand combat, Motormaster would tear him apart.

In the cartoon all three Seekers nearly killed Optimus Prime. In the comic Starscream once killed over 300 Transformers when he got the MacGuffi... I mean Underbase Power. Even before that God Tier murder spree he was one of the most feared and ruthless Decepticons in the comic. Starscream would play to Motormaster's strengths and ego. He'd lure him into thinking he was going to fight him fair in hand to hand combat, and then blast him with both barrels of his Null Rays, cluster bomb him at near point blank range, then take to the skies and rain death down on the now stunned and probably potentially crippled Motormaster. It's irrelevant if they fight in a building with close quarters as Starscream can blow a hole in the roof with his explosives and immediately take to the sky. We're talking about a cutthroat strategist and warrior who is almost able to take Megatron on head to head here after all.

Starscream would normally win. It's possible that Motormaster could creep up behind and get all slashy slashy with his silver sword. However, it's hard for loud, brash Motormaster to creep quietly. Starscream would detect him.

Motormaster's best chance is to injure Starscream with gunfire, especially his wings, arm cannons and jet engines. Then Motormaster has to press his advantage, chase Starscream down and crush him.
