Looking at it, I may be able to get the 3 leader seekers for voyager prices if i wait long enough..... might just take the plunge

For under $22 it's hard to not recommend TC. I nabbed him to stand next to MP Starscream. I like that he is a different sculpt. They look nice together.

The only issue I'm having is that TC is a little taller and beefier than SS. If they make a Leader SW I may get one of those if he hits the sub $25 impulse price point as well.

Ok, so now here is why this is awesome. Sky Garry Mint in Box is an insane grail. That was a late G1 toy that was exclusive to Japan. There are no Mint in Box original Sky Garry's on e-bay and the only one that was sold recently was loose without accessores and fetched this price

What you are getting here with this set is the exact same big toy (as big as MP 10) in all his awesome G1 glory, perfectly mint, with that amazing G1 solid plastic. He is a triple changer (alt mode, robot mode, base mode) which can connect with other bases from Return of Convoy (like Star Convoy). Like those, he comes with a micromaster and some minicarriers to carry your micromasters in (he comes with 3 of these carriers and this edition comes with 2 softer plastic mini figurines you can also put inside). This specific release is the Korean release of a redeco of the Transformers toy that was used for Takara's Brace series (which used other Transformers toys). I have looked for other reissues as such and cant find any (like Deathsaurus) so I am definitely taking advantage of this fantastic price to experience this sought after Sky Garry mold. Hate to brag, (no I don't) but I got Leader Thundercracker off Amazon for the way sub $30 price. Best part, I had gift cards so I got it for FREE! It actually is a solid mold so I don't mind

I got mine years ago and he is worth every penny!

Must have gotten it mixed up with King Atlas or something, I guess.

It was relatively expensive for a time, until random lost stock showed up in pretty good quantity about six years ago. It's bounced back since, but many a collector got MISB Sky Garry toys for $150 or less at Botcon 2009. However, compared to Grandus, Deathsaurus, Dai Atlas, Liokaiser, etc, it isn't nearly as valuable. This is probably because late Japan-only G1 has (with some exception) sky rocketed in value over the past few years, with many of the collectors driving up said prices already owning a Sky Garry due to the "found stock" weirdness.

Fun facts! Or sort-of facts based on only observational evidence, whatever. Yet, it is thread derailment, so I've gone out and found a sale to get this back on topic.

The reviewer is wrong (sadly, because it's an awesome mold!)

Of all the other TF repaints/remolds in Brave, I don't know of any other Sonokong re-releases. Maybe Dag Base, but even if so, must not have been many runs because that's not a cheap toy either these days. Cheaper than Grandus by a mile, but not some insane bargain like Death Garry Gun is these days!

Well at least now you know my source Also, great that means this edition is even more awesome, this mold was a strictly Japan (and Korea) release.
