I'll be fine if we don't get another Cyclonus, but yeah the Kingdom one could stand to be a little bluer. Slightly, as it's still pretty close:Rodimus Prime wrote:Perhaps. But the Kingdom figure is practically all lavender and no light blue, which he had in TF:TM. So if Hasbro wants true accuracy, there needs to be another version. Like they did with Scourge and the Sweep.Sowndwave76 wrote:I don't think we'll get another Cyclonus.

If you're considering Amazon, just beware you may be paying higher prices.
Indeed. Waiting for them to go live on Amazon.ca.
Yep that's the setup I have. The Selects Cyclonus and SS86 Scourge resemble more their toy decos, which is what the comic used, at least in their brief appearances in the US version (Headmasters and #67). Now if only the comic edition came out with the accurate Galvatron deco for the comics as well, we'd be in business. But I guess that discussion is for another thread...Sabrblade wrote:...Now you're making me wish I'd found a Scourge so I could do that too, with Selects Cyclonus and Selects Galvatron.Rodimus Prime wrote:Scourge wasn't really screen accurate either, the Sweep looks more like their on-screen version, so that's who I'm using as my movie Scourge. I don't anyone thinks that could happen... There may be some overlap between the 3 waves, but unless these figures are being ridiculously over-produced, I don't see any way someone would find all 6 in a store; that would require some crazy fluke. My point was that it's probably a moderate risk to wait and see if these show up in-store. And I personally wouldn't wait to see if any go on sale; it could be relatively annoying to end up not being able to get ahold of 1-2 of them.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Certainly no one should expect finding all six at retail at the same time.
I'd hope more preorders would happen even before the new year. But if you meant "re-packed" when you said "second runs", I would never bank on that... We're not talking just 2, 3, 4, or even 5 figures... Especially with a CC set in this mix. Unless there is some major distribution issue for a couple of these figures and it's a truly wide-spread problem (not just for a specific region), repacking all 6 seems highly unlikely. I don't at all mind if I end up being wrong about this, but I'm predicting once these figures have been released and are gone next year, I wouldn't expect to see them again until some exclusive giftset is made.-Kanrabat- wrote:It is impossible thatwill make a limited run of the 86 Constructicons. Agreed... His main color is more in the range of blue than what we got with the Kingdom version. The color of the figure in the gallery shot is even more blue than what he looks in person. A variation of "lavender" is a pretty good descriptor of the Kingdom figure's main color.Sabrblade wrote:I'll be fine if we don't get another Cyclonus, but yeah the Kingdom one could stand to be a little bluer. I hope so. While I still enjoy collecting, I'm a bit wary of the hunting process when it comes to groups or sets of figures, so I don't mind paying a bit extra to have them all at once. As long as it's not ridiculously over retail.-Kanrabat- wrote:A very expensive set of all the SS86 Constructicons are a given.
Emerje wrote:Yeah, it would be nice to have a Cyclonus with a little more contrast between the colors and the gray to have a slight pink tint.

I'll reserves them all from my local geek store I guess.

If Hastak is wanting to repaint this figure to be more accurate, I really wish they'd take the Kingdom mold and just upsize it, throw in a few blast effects and maybe even his target master (even though this wasn't in the movie), and release him as a leader class figure so he's taller than Galvatron. This may be considered a new mold, but the design and engineering work would already be done... And I'd assume the $55 price tag would have this make plenty of profit even though the figure would require more plastic and just slightly longer pins.

Hasbro reps said a Gift Set would not be released for another 2 years. A G2 repaint is an option and a Diaclone JPN exclusive too. All in for that.

So... yellow and orange redecos are practically a given

Emerje wrote:Well I'm screwed. GameStop cancelled my SS86 Prime pre-order and it's sold out everywhere. And they didn't cancel because of stock or distribution or anything like that seeing as how the last update I got said it wasn't coming until December. No, they said it was because "due to a system decline while processing your payment information." That's total BS, I pre-paid for it entirely with gift cards and Pro rewards. I have an expired debit card on my account, but not once was the card used to place the order and there's no reason why they would have to access it to complete the order. I'm pretty pissed that they screwed me over like this. I'm done with pre-ordering from them, I've had issues in the past but this was another level. And the worst part is I have to wait for them to snail mail me a replacement refunded gift card rather than issuing a digital one.![]()
Oh, and their customer service contact form on the website doesn't seem to do anything when you hit send. Very helpful. I'm going to try to email them directly instead.
