I already bought mine.
I have mine preordered with Pulse with free shipping. I did not wait.
Looks like I did the right thing, Amazon just sent me a notice saying my Perceptor will be here next week. Patience rewarded.sol magnus wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:$31 with shipping. I also put Sludge on preorder... Although I hope to find him at Target well before he ships-- with tax he's going to cost $60.88 (and that's with free shipping)...
From Target with my RedCard he'd be right around $53.

Does anyone in your house shop as Kohl's regularly? If so, play the return game if the Amazon one ships and you find it at Target later for a better price. The reason I say Kohl's is that they have an Amazon return desk inside and when you make a return, they typically give you a 25% off your purchase coupon for Kohl's. My wife gladly makes the returns for me and then uses the coupon, win-win!
I just did that just before Christmas when Pulse had Slammer in stock, so I ordered but couldn't cancel my Amazon order because it shipped at the same time. As long as the Amazon return window is open, I'll buy any figure I have in store at a better price and just return it to Amazon via Kohl's.

Exactly what you've described here is both rumored for and has a listing as a Selects release.AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Armada
Now considering he was in The Movie. They could go the Sweeps route and re-release a Cyclonus in a different shade of purple.

Or one of the other paint jobs....

Its one of the few SS-86 figures to not have received a repaint or retool yet. Along Hot-Rod and Grimlock.
I'd be down for a dark purple G1 toy deco for Cyclonus, a Blue G2 Grimlock and I guess a toon accurate Hot-Rod. Magenta and light blue solid windshield ala BB Cliffjumper.
Pretty sure that turned out to be the Hot Rod rerelease that accompanied BB Soundwave with the variance being the new packaging.TF-fan kev777 wrote:there was a rumored variant a while back.

Technically Cyclonus is Kingdom and not SS86, which may be why the armada repaint is in Selects. Hot Rod is getting a retool/redeco as Override in the Walmart Velocitron line and there was a rumored variant a while back.

G2 Grimlock could open up a pandora's box for Hasbro, especially at the new pricing for leader figures. Make just Grimlock and some fans will be upset at not getting the full set. Make them all and the least popular are going to be hard to sell.

True, though he was definitely meant for SS-86. I mean he's an important part of the movie.
There's an Armada repaint in Selects?
Override... right forgot about that. We'll see what that looks like.TF-fan kev777 wrote:

Maybe. Are there fans out there clamoring for green Slag and red Snarl? Both of which also got a regular silver and gold release for G2 before the spiffy G2 colors. And well, a single usage of the Grimlock and Snarl molds seems like a waste of resources. Hasbro is not one to pass up the opportunity of selling the same toy again in different colors and make some more money off of it.
I'd expect those molds would be the ones needing more releases to make back their development budget.
I want Shattered Glass Grimlock to happen from that mold so badly, it is my most wanted SG repaint of those we know aren't already in the pipeline.ZeroWolf wrote:How about a Shattered Glass Grimlock?
Rodimus Prime wrote:I don't know about others clamoring, but I would definitely get a set of G2 leader Dinobots if they were released piecemeal like the SS figures are. 1 every 6 months would definitely be acceptable. That way I might actually get a red version of Swoop.
