I intentionally skipped Blaster and only got Twincast instead. So if another better one comes along, I'm good.

The only reason they'd pack in an extra CORE class figure is if the thing would be a Pulse exclusive sold for 20$ more.

The retro 40th anniversary Blaster is coming with Steeljaw.

I wouldn't mind them doing what they did with Netflix Soundwave and give Blaster Ramhorn and Steeljaw and sell the set at leader price. I don't know what other SS86 leader is coming besides Swoop. Or will he be a voyager as well?

Apples and oranges.

For the G1 reissue, they follow the path of the old TrU reissue. Also, the budget for that boxset follow the one with Soundwave and Buzzsaw.

Eject/Rewind is part of the Blaster/Twincast mold so they are indissociable. Steeljaw is an upcoming core class in the SS86 line so it won't be "reissued" before the normal one comes out.
And appart the themed 4 packs or the Cyberverse 3 packs, no SS86 nor Bay SS reissue (repainted or not) came with extra characters at its own price point...
... No, there IS a precedent and it's the "dead" 2 pack or Ironhide and Prowl with blast effects.

I call that this Blaster will be just a straight repaint of the regular version with no extras at all. But they could surprise us.

I can pretty much skip the repaint unless it came with Rewind, then I might be compelled to get it. But I assume they'll just release Rewind in the Core line?

Even Twincast is easy to get.

I’d much rather they’d get around to Sunstreaker, since he wasn't the easiest to get during Earthrise.

Pretty much how I feel about it. Though nothing is ever really "necessary" there are things that seem to make more sense over others, at least to us anyway. And it's not really a matter of whether it's necessary but more about Hasbro wanting to milk a mold with a simple repaint to generate revenue by trying to capitalize off the "cartoon deco". Though again we're left with the question of why not Sunstreaker since it too fits that same criteria. Perhaps because just it doesn't fit their SS86 theming they're currently on. IDK

Just a few thoughts:

Since Blaster is an exclusive, I’m assuming he is going to be re-done with all solid plastic just like Buzzworthy Cliffjumper & Kup. What’s interesting is that Eject will be solid plastic, while Rewind obvsly isn’t. I never like exclusives, but of course there are times where they make sense, & sometimes make a ton of sense depending on the character, re-tooling/re-painting, etc.
As I eluded to before, I don’t think this will be a new mold.
I think the original is good enough in pretty much every way. And yet, because I want to fully support this subline, I’ll most likely get this new version. And eventually, I’ll most likely get Steeljaw as well.

Don’t forget, a SS86 Leader Class Springer will be released during the second half of this next year.
Between him & Swoop, I don’t see this new Blaster being bumped up to that class. I’d assume a Ramhorn will be a future Core release. I know they’re a bit small, but these cassette characters are decent figures for Core class.

I also don’t think I’m alone in thinking that if Blaster is getting a SS86 release, a new Soundwave is probably going to happen sooner than later. In his case, I do think it will be a new mold. This also opens the door for future Core Cassetticon releases. I could even see Slugfest and Overkill down the road…. Even as part of the mainline.

I say skip that release entirely.

Legacy Detritus is just a striped down Siege Hound and it suffer from it.

Earth mode Hound should have his own original mold, remade from scratch. He could even be a "voyager" if he have all of his accessories and guns, plus the number of parts to make him feel "full."

I think in a perfect world Hasbro would put out another "Micromaster" set (similar to Selects Spy Patrol 3rd Unit and Amazon Galactic Odyssey set) consisting of a solid Rewind and the pile of missing Minicons we need.

I wouldn't mind another 4-pk of Cassettes, be a good way to get solid versions as well as maybe a couple more variants. Such as dare I say niche characters like Flip Sides, Stripes or Sundor. lol
Maybe even Buzzsaw? Considering it's been fourteen years since the last release.
Likely not Steeljaw or Ramhorn if they're to be Core releases and based on new molds.

I also wouldn't mind some depth with Decepticon cassettes, Squawktalk and Enemy would be nice to have and offer something fresh. Beastbox would also be kind if neat and different but I don't see that happening as it's too unique of a mold.

Realistically speaking, it would be a pricey 4 pack of Core figures with many accessories.
And of course, it WILL be a hard to get exclusive.
It's inevitable.

Fair enough for Core VS "micromasters", but for the Exclusives, your all American privileges are showing.

1) I do not care about exclusive status, most may be easier for me, but that does not matter much to me.
2) Every other post from you nowadays are whining about exclusives, it's tiring.
3) in spite of and including both 1 and 2, I still really don't care.
4) considering what is being suggested, exclusive status is not an issue to me

As if am I the only one on this site that complain about exclusives when the only way to get them is to pay high shipping fees and taxes.

...isn't that also available to Canadians nowadays? I'm looking at the page for Pulse Premium right now and it calls out US and Canada, is that not accurate?

Ordering a PAPERCLIP from Pulse or a Titan is between 25$US to 30$US in shipping fees at the bare minimum. Then, every other articles you add increase the shipping by 2$ to 5$ a pop.

The SG Sideswipe/Rodimus set cost me a fortune. Especially because Pulse charge BOTH Federal AND Provincial taxes, unlike the single cheaper "harmonised federal" tax that Amazon.COM/.JP usually charge. Finally, add the exchange rate as the cherry on top.

There's also some articles that are for USA only, like those "make yourself a figure" things.

It's better than not being able to order at all, but these mandatory Fed-Ex premium shipping fees hurt. No "economy" options at all like from BBTS or others.

Too bad that Canadians cannot be Pulse Premium members.

EDIT.

Waaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttttttttttttt...................

WE CAN! That's new.

50$US is still nasty for a yearly fee, but it's soaked up just by ordering two things.
The exchange rate remain annoying but eh, it's part of the game.

To be worth it, one must buy a lot.

I'll wait and see for the next batch of HASLAB / SG exclusives to be announced. If they seems worth it, maybe trying out a Pulse Premium for a year could be worth it.

I'll happily get any G1-sized tape Hasbro or Takara cares to make, but as for Legacy, I just want the cast from the show. Seasons 1 - the movie. I've collected a lot of official and unofficial tapes, so I don't need to go down that rabbit hole again.

Considering Buzzsaw is still benched I'm still pretty unsure whether they'll pull through. Although I'm kicking myself for not getting Dr. Wu's Autoscout since I doubt we'll ever see that from the official guys. I'll take another 4 pack. At least they'll be done.

2) Every other post from you nowadays are whining about exclusives, it's tiring.
3) in spite of and including both 1 and 2, I still really don't care.
4) considering what is being suggested, exclusive status is not an issue to me

What are you even talking about?
What you just said as strong "Let them eat cake" vibes.

As if am I the only one on this site that complain about exclusives when the only way to get them is to pay high shipping fees and taxes.

Please climb down from your Ivory Tower.

No ivory tower, you just didn't comprehend.

I am at the point in my collecting where exclusive status doesn't matter to me. If it's harder to get, I'll put in the effort, and if i don't get it, so be it. Hence, i really do not care.

Considering the highly hypothetical nature of what was suggested as well, it not being an exclusive would be a surprise.

you are not the only one to complain, but you do it regularly, loudly, and annoyingly.

Plus, as pointed out, Canada has had pulse premium since the beginning of September.

It would have been clearer if you have specified that it was for you personally. The way you said it was devoid of any empathy towards everyone else who care about that issue.

And if you find me "annoying", deal with it.

That was some HUGE news for Canadians. Yet either that wasn't reported as a Seibertron news, or the news went under my radar.
