I canceled that figure but still have Pipes and Tigatron, so far no changes to either of them.

Only thing Amazon shipped for me is SS BB and Sam.

The Skywarp II + Sideswipe set is still there waiting to be shipped, and Tigatron does not even have images yet.

I was surprised at that shipping delay for Sweeps...
Being almost literally the same as Scourge, you'd kinda think the opposite would've happened and he would've been released earlier than later!

So glad to have the SS86 guys on preorder... I have almost no hope of finding them early in a store!

Good to hear…
Although I am of the opinion he should’ve even a bit smaller.
Almost as tall as Springer, like less than a head shorter.
I think they made him that big so other bots could ride the cycle mode & not look goofy-big.

I’m still very excited to get him!!

That is a nice looking Perceptor, at least.

Glad I waited on getting (or, couldn't find) Earthrise Starscream.

It was the 35th anniversary of the film's release this week and they had new(-ish) stuff to show. There will be more fan events with more new reveals later.

Question, to those that have TR Perceptor:

Are You getting SS86 P?

Do you see any differences besides the Headmaster gimmick?

Is there enough of an update there for you to get him again?

I never got TR Perceptor, but from what I can tell it does all the same things and has an extra gimmick. Will SS86 Perceptor be worth tracking down?

Personally, that'll be an in-hand decision, just like Kup and Blurr were. I'm leaning towards yes, because he comes with his gun and overall looks a bit cleaner and might hold together better (my TR Perceptor's gotten a bit looser with age), but the faces for SS86 deluxes have mostly been misses for me in hand with Hot Rod being the only deluxe sized figure that looked good to me

I definitely will. The torso shape of TR Perceptor is very different from the G1 and original toy styles. I see the change as comparable to Siege to ER modifications in the Datsuns and Lambos: quite minor, but enough for me.

If you're on a budget, the TR Perceptor is fine, and will probably become even cheaper used as collectors swap out. I plan to unload mine at the next con I go to.

I'm on the fence if I want to pay $20 extra for Starscream or just get ER version (if I can find for $30)

I prefer ss86's paintjob, hands, and the accessories are cool though idk how much i'd use them. The more I look at ss86 the more it grows on me. Maybe I'll have to wait to see it in-hand

Because I can also wait and get the upcoming Armada starscream instead, but I'm already getting the ER Seekers so the trio would be a bit off
Patiently waiting for an updated TF:A-inspired quadruple-changing Shockwave in the generations toyline

I will stick with my TR one. I like him having a headmaster that can be on the slap in microscope mode and ride the tank. The G1 toy is still my fave though so having those 2 is all I need.

The difference in deco between Earthrise Starscream and Studio Series 86 Starscream seems pretty minimal. The SS86 version is missing the red and white striping on the blue tail fins and adds two small dark gray rectangles to the top of the jet. Am I missing anything? Maybe the color saturation is slightly tweaked? The only sculpting change I see is the more articulated hands. Is there anything else?

Bad math, Voyagers went up $2.50. Still less than the other two classes.

I'm all over that Perceptor since it looks fantastic, a little too stoic in the face but I dig it. While it'll kill me to buy that Starscream mold again, I can't pass up the articulated hands, throne, and crown. A coronation Starscream for play if you will.

For those who are a little bummed about no other reveals, perhaps things are delayed due to the overall delays in the world.

Absolutely not, IDW Perceptor is best Perceptor, this one just looks like the exact same engineering with a more boring coat of paint & lamer gun. If anything, the existence of this new one makes me more disappointed that the TR one didn't have the full comic-accurate head with the giant targeting eye.

But hey, I'd take a Selects Magnificus outta this new one.

Yeah I'm definitely picking up that Perceptor. I like the TR figure, but this one is just more accurate and looks better in the renders.

When I preordered him on Amazon, I was taken directly to my orders page, where I still have Slag, Slammer and Pipes waiting. So I clicked on the order, and saw that Slag is now listed at $80 and Pipes and Slammer are listed as unavailable. I wonder if this affects my preorder in any way... :-?
