In Hawaii there are 2 guys that go around to all the Wal-Marts and Toys R Us and by up all the Transformers plus Marvel Legends and GI Joe they sell on Ebay go by the name of gfunk91 so if you know who this is don't buy from him he is a major Scalper!!!!

reminds me of when i got my ps3, TRU was only getting 6 in and this guy infront of me was trying to buy 5 of them. Didnt really effect me as i was second in line, but i argued to the manager for the people behind me.

I have descovered that scapler come to places like this sniff around the forums trying to find out what are the most wanted classics right now. Then they go out to every store that carries transformers in a 10 to 20 mile radius and buy up as many of these as they can then they dump them on ebay for 10 times what they are worth people have no choice but buy them. I really can't say what should be done to these people but it should be something super horrable.

Most of the sellers on ebay are messed up. They find the popular transformers and just jack up the prices like 10-50%. Also the people who know how much the transformers are worth jack up the prices when they sell their old figures. I'm not saying that everyone on their is a hack but most of the time the prices are rediculous. The others who sell transformers don't really no a lot about them and most likely broke them so they can't get their full dollars worth. Ebay is slowly costing transfans more money to get their transformers.

I guess different areas have different problems. Scalpers are "almost" non-existant around me, example, I went to TRU and they had the Soundwave remake they only received 1 box and they were on the shelf for about a week, and they still have 3. But Titaniums fly off the shelves (even Megatron). I talk to the local scalpers and luckily they all go the Marvel Legends route (and with the way Hasbro has handled the line it should go down the tube in about a month). So I guess every area has a different thing that toy fans go after, it's all the luck of the draw.

P.S. Scalpers SUCK!!

On the topic, I've seen scalpers hoard toys out here all the time. I'll actually take what I want outta their carts. When they ask me what I'm doing, I ask if they plan on hockin' their wares on ebay. Most times they'll actually tell me yes. Then I respond with "Well, I'll make it easy on ya, I'm takin' this/these, and it'll be less stuff for you to list". After that they usually shut up and I leave, but then again I'm 6'3" 300lbs. They probaly think agueing the point would be useless. Yeah I frakin' hate scalpers.

God, people like that should do use all a favor and put their heads in a blender :-x

Trying to make **** loads of money off collectors, thats just sick.

Thankfully I've never seen anything like that here, i have helped a few kids with getting a TF down from high on the shelf, but thats bout it.
