He did miss some training camp as well.. That could have hurt.

I don't think Minnesota will lose the division. Green Bay might get in on the wild card, but Aaron Rodgers is not the be-all-end-all of the NFC North. Maybe once Favre is done. For real.
As for Detroit and Da Bears, I like Da Bears in that division (I have 1 team I lightly root for in every division) but I am not sure they got what it takes to even be better than the Lions. I stand by my previous prediction of 5-11, but I think the Lions will be 7-9 or better, but not a 10-win team.

This week was not so good for me. The Titans won which is the most important, but the Browns lost and the Patriots won. Now, with a Colt loss I hope the Jets win and the week will turn out good.
Anyone know how Sam Bradford did? I mean not numbers wise, but just generally how he carried himself in the game?

He played very smart. He had good awareness and despite the 3 INTs, I think he did a stellar job keeping his team in the game.

Anyone see all the injuries in the Philly-Green Bay game? I swear like, 20 guys were hurt!
OK, here's the sleeper for this season: HELLLLLOOOOOOO HOUSTON! I know Indy's defense is more porous than the Bears o-line, but DAMN! Didn't see that coming...
Hey look! Jerry Jones is still f---ing up the Cowboys! How do you lose to a team as bad as the Redskins? Seriously, I don't know...I'm asking...How did they do it?
I have to admit, I'm kinda pulling for the Texans now. After all the talking heads and experts were saying "Dallas is going to the Super Bowl and becoming the first home team to make it", how funny would it be if it turned out that Houston made it instead? I would roll all over peeing myself cuz I'd be laughing so hard.

You know, I didn't mean it literally...but hey, if that's how it goes, I'll look like a genius at the end of the season!

Well, if the NFL is as fixed as the MLB and NASCAR, then you'll see Cowboys vs. Texans in Super Bowl XLV.
Personally, unless the Colts fix what went wrong or the Titans suffer devastating losses to injury, the Titans own the AFC South. Even if the Colts get hot, they MIGHT win the division by 1 game. But if the Texans get in, it will be as a wild card.
And now there's supposed to be a QB controversy in Philly. If their starting QB this week doesn't come back from that apparent concussion, the job goes to that asshole Vick, but if the other guy is cleared by Wednesday, should Andy Reid still start the dog killer?
As for tonight...

Baltimore vs the Jets: the start was delayed by lightning...but apparently no one told the Jets offense when the game was starting because they never actually showed up. Is the Ravens D that good? Or do the Bears maybe have company in the "Our offense really sucks" department...
Speaking of segues, Brett Favre really should think about training camp when he finally decides to unretire again next season. Can someone put out an APB on Adrian Peterson? He seems to be MIA...
Houston beat Indianapolis. Yes, I really said it. Suddenly the temperature in Hell dropped a few degrees. Then again, the Indy defense is more porous than a New Jersey housewife's wallet...I truly believe that one could drive a Hummer through that D without it getting touched. Can we train Peyton to play middle linebacker so he can make calls there too?
The Bears got a win. It wasn't their fault. Tuck Rule, let me introduce you to "Process of Catching a Ball". Though, to be honest, I looked at the replay and he really didn't come up with the ball. I probably would have made the same call...then gone to collect my $1 bribe from Lovie Smith.
New quarterback, same result in St. Louis. New quarterback, "WTF was that" in Arizona. One would think that, if a QB is not wanted in Cleveland of all places, that would be a testament to his abilities. Oh, wait, wasn't LeBron James there? Never mind. Props to Bradford though. He does look like he's the real deal.
San Diego lost to Kansas City. WTF? Really? The Chargers played like crap tonite. We saw flashes, but looks like Norv Turner finally has the Chargers right where we knew he would: over the barrel of suckage. Mr. Rivers, you forgot your Prozac today! BTW, that Bowe guy on KC is just sick. KC, you may have something that us Cubs fans have been trying to find for a century: hope. BTW, am I the only one who was wishing that Suzy Kolber had been wearing a white blouse tonite?
Dallas...wow. Just...wow. Jerry Jones is having nightmares filled with yellow flags and Houston Texans in the Super Bowl. Washington managed to suck less than Dallas. Props for that.
Hey, Pete Carroll! Welcome back to the NFL! Flash in the pan? Or is San Fran really that bad? I'd expect more from Samurai Mike. OK guys back to your dirt hill!
On a serious note, the Green Bay-Philadelphia game increased health care spending in the United States by 44%. Didn't like 38 guys get carted off the field? See what happens when you have too much green on the field? It's camouflage...no one sees anyone coming, then suddenly WHAM!...hello, Mr. Concussion. Watch the waver wire...95% of players will be an Eagle or a Packer. And, who should start in Philly? Vick is the logical choice until Kolb is healthy. Green Bay better put some duct tape on their defense and hope they don't regularly blow leads this season or else all the brat-and-beer guzzling Packer fans are going to stress the local cardiologists beyond their abilities to cope. I think I have a piece of sausage jammed in an artery...
Giants beat Panthers. Saw it coming. Now that Eli and Peyton have the same number of Lombardis, do you think that Eli teases Peyton about his hairline? Panthers will suck. You have my word.
So, when is Al Davis going to realize that bringing in players close to his own age is a bad thing? And did anyone see the guy? He looks horrible! I'm seriously worried. I don't know if he can SURVIVE another Raiders season. BTW, Chris Johnson is really fast.
Dear Ben Rothleberger, why did you have to like women so much? We have no offense with you gone! Dear Matt Ryan, the iceman didn't cometh. At least it didn't end in a tie like last time. BTW, Tony Gonzalez is really good.
Batman and Robin got beaten by the Patriots. I guess they needed more gas in the Batmobile. I have to admit though, I'm waiting for Ocho Cinco to show up in Burt Ward's old tights. I'd laugh my ass off. BTW, Bill Belichik is really....damn, I lost my train of thought.
Miami beat Buffalo...and there was much rejoicing...(yay)
Finally, Cleveland came from ahead to lose to the high flying potent offense of Tampa Bay. You know, Cleveland, there's a reason why Jake Delhomme isn't where he was before. He's mediocre at best. WHere's Bernie Kosar when you need him. I suggest watching college football so you can figure out who you'll be taking with the number 2 overall pick this year. Why number 2? Because it's a law of the Universe that Cleveland can't be number 1 at anything. I think it was on that tablet of Commandments that Mel Brooks...errr...Moses dropped coming down the mountain. Oh, and can someone tell me when Cadillac Williams turned into a Hyundai? He just doesn't look the same anymore.

I think Ray Lewis is a top 5 greatest linebacker of all time. But around him people are changing and starting to, pardon the pun, transform the defense. Lewis IS the defense. And maybe Ed Reed. After either or both of them go, the Ravens D will nosedive. Word. The Jets? Damn good D, SHEEEEEE-OOOOT offense. Now, they HAVE TO beat New England or they're finished in the division. Unless someone f**ks up Tom Brady again.
BTW, Chris Johnson is really fast.
No ****.

For me it's Jets-Patriots. Lot of **** talking, so now it's time to back it up on both sides. The Jets looked less than stellar against the Ravens, but as most people in the sports media said, that's the best D they will face all year. Though I think the Titans and Steelers also have damn good defenses, the Ravens are still the best, but barely.
I am still picking the Jets to win, as I'm expecting Sanchez to find a good rhythm and match Brady score-for-score, and have the Jets win by a field goal.

I almost fell out of the chair when I saw the score. Damn, how sorry can they Cowboys get? And to think I picked them as a potential Super Bowl contender...
And Tennessee? Dropped the ball (literally) this week, big time. They better win all their division games, or goodbye playoffs...
Tampa Bay? Good one. Same for KC, though I really was rooting for the Browns.

Um...not sure if you've heard...the Saints won the Super Bowl last season. They Aints no more. Falcons have yet to get the title, but with the talent they have now, it wouldn't be surprising. Unlikely, but possible.
And, yes, the Cowboys are that bad. Goodbye, Wade. The stew Parcells cooked up has finally expired. But I am happy to see Da Bears do good.
