Um...not sure if you've heard...the Saints won the Super Bowl last season. They Aints no more. Falcons have yet to get the title, but with the talent they have now, it wouldn't be surprising. Unlikely, but possible.

And, yes, the Cowboys are that bad. Goodbye, Wade. The stew Parcells cooked up has finally expired. But I am happy to see Da Bears do good.

Its kind of like Basic Instinct, but not in a good way...
Goddammit, now I can't unsee it.

And hey, they almost got beat up by the 49ers last night. We are unstoppable for the most part in a domed environment....and our defense is the best i've seen it in 10 years. I think we have a legitimate shot. If we beat the Aint's, lookout everyone else.

However, maybe you are a little steamed that I was giving the Saints a little guff? I have family off of Jeff Davis parkway out there. The ribbing is all in good spirit dude.

The Pack is a damned good team (and it truly pains me to admit that) and we'll see if the new improved Bears O can stand up to the D of the Packers. Also, can Green Bay manage to survive a sack-happy Bears defense, especially considering how many sacks they gave up last year? The winner of the NFC North may well be decided this Monday.

That's fine, I have no problem with that. I am just saying give credit where credit is due. Hell, I understand rivalries. I despise the Steelers and the Patriots but I will admit they were good for a long stretch. And the Falcons are damn good as well, having a pretty good QB and defense, as you said. But they still have to prove against the Saints. Everyone does. They're not champs for nothing, and they're defending that title well so far, though they did get a scare on Monday night. The season is only 2 weeks old, a lot can happen. Personally, before the season started, I picked the Falcons to be in the final four of the NFC, along with the Saints, Giants, and Cowboys. (Yes, I know the last one is making me look stupid.) Make no mistake, I am not a Saints fan, though I was happy they won the title. The way things look, the NFC championship will probably be Saints vs. Falcons. (With one of them being a wild card, of course.)

That's to be respected. You're a true fan when you're with the team through good or bad. I grew up in Northeast Ohio, I know. (The Browns!) However, I live in South Georgia now (Albany) and I do casually cheer the Falcons on. I will always be a Jets fan first though. Followed by the Titans and Browns. That's why I hate the Steelers, Patriots, and dislike the Colts. Rivalries. But my high school team was called the Falcons, and had the same logo, so that's another reason. Did I mention I hate the Steelers?
As for this week, I think the Jets will beat Miami, but it will be a good game. And bye weeks start, right? Or is that week 4?
Rodimus Prime wrote:Revis had a good year last year. The hassles over his contract were unnecessary, and I do believe he got overpaid a bit, but he was the best at his job last season, so I can't blame him for trying to cash in. They all do. But now, his hamstring is giving him trouble, but hopefully it's minor. And he already got picked on by T.O., though the Jets don't face the Bengals until week 12. But I think Revis will have Owens covered without a problem.

HOLY $^#%! That's what you call a nail-biter. Falcons win by 3 in the Super Dome. First time since the Super Dome reopened, if memory serves me correctly. Great game regardless who won.
