We can safely assume that the end product will be Masterpiece-like in techniques used, but I don't think TakaraTomy knows what it wants yet. In which case, it's better to start high, then dumb down until a more desirable price point can be reached.
So yeah probably will be like unite warriors Devesator then. We'll find out soon enough anyway...now how many people would be annoyed if Hasbro imported it for the 2022 titan bug removed elbows from the individual robots

Yep! Trains >>> all

The mispronunciation also ruins the fun but likely accidental pun on the Trainbot combiner's name in that, not only does it mean "Lightning and Thunder", but it also sounds just like the English word "riding" minus the G on the end (so, "ridin'"), as though to say that his passengers are "ridin' Raiden".o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I blame Mortal Kombat for people's constantly mispronouncing Raiden's name.
Yeah I know it's more of a Rye (like the bread) first syllable. It can even be have an "l" sound option (lye den).
But being a fan of Super Robots, there's also Raydeen (Pronounced Lye deen or Rye deen) which has had 3 wildly different interpretations in anime so I get it.

This is most likely gonna be something closer to uw devs or selects piranha combiner than 6 mp 44's

blackeyedprime wrote:It will be mp and then we will have a generations figure which will eventually waste a generations slot if it gets made (much like a star sabre would). No doubt its going to be overpriced but hopefully the zeta one will offer an alternative tho I'm leaning towards official if its going to be the only version I have of him. Will still be hoping it gets a G1 reissue at some point

Agreed on Raiden, but Star Saber? Come on, we still need one in the Generations line, even if the MP is CHUG scaled.
As someone who was exposed to the toy before the media, I assumed initially that it was "Ray"dn, the same you pronounce rail, as in trainbots.Sabrblade wrote:The mispronunciation also ruins the fun but likely accidental pun on the Trainbot combiner's name in that, not only does it mean "Lightning and Thunder", but it also sounds just like the English word "riding" minus the G on the end (so, "ridin'"), as though to say that his passengers are "ridin' Raiden".o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I blame Mortal Kombat for people's constantly mispronouncing Raiden's name.

If it was, then his name would be "Reiden", since the English word "rail" in Japanese Katakana is レイル ("reiru").Flashwave wrote:As someone who was exposed to the toy before the media, I assumed initially that it was "Ray"dn, the same you pronounce rail, as in trainbots.Sabrblade wrote:The mispronunciation also ruins the fun but likely accidental pun on the Trainbot combiner's name in that, not only does it mean "Lightning and Thunder", but it also sounds just like the English word "riding" minus the G on the end (so, "ridin'"), as though to say that his passengers are "ridin' Raiden".o.supreme wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I blame Mortal Kombat for people's constantly mispronouncing Raiden's name.
