According to Japanese online retails HobbyLinkJapan it would seem that the Japanese Exclusive Chrono Label figures that were to be produced by Takara Tomy are being put on hiatus. Perhaps for good.

According to HLJ the orders are discontinued and they will not be getting any in the forseeable future.

Here's a quick synopsis of HLJs discontinued status:

Out-of-stock items are displayed with squares (in-stock items with circles). Black squares with a "jolly roger" skull and crossbones indicate items that we have no stock of, and can no longer acquire from our suppliers.

Because there is no chance of getting such items in the near future, we don't accept orders for them. Keep in mind, however, that other merchants could very well have stock of such items, particularly stores outside of Japan.

In addition, companies such as Tamiya, Bandai and others will frequently place older products on a long-term reissue cycle. Products like these may be issued only once every few years. Between these long reissues, the products will show as discontinued on our web site if we're out of stock, but they may very well be available again at some point in the (distant) future.

Expencive no-name TFs that look very blocky in robot mode and unimpressive in watch mode? Not one of their best moves. Can't say that I'm sad to see this go.

Did you even click the links provided?

They ended up being too expensive, for such underwhelming items.

The original TF Watches from the eighties where a novelty, that were fun to have.

These are just too expensive, and clunky.

I'm not surprised. I buy just about everything Hasbro or Takara puts out that's Transformers related. The new Chrono label was too rich even for my blood. I don't understand why these had to be nice watches. Couldn't they just do the cheap plastic watch style that the Kronoforms had in the 80s? All we really want are just updated watch Transformers ... not $300 watch Transformers. I'd rather go spend $300 on a real watch.

i didn't feel like clicking the links and don't you call me lazy.theres a difference.and seeing from what seibertron wrote.what's this about $300 watches.who would want to buy a watch for $300 or something like that.and there clunky. :wink:

ummmm HLJ's "discontinued" tends to mean they're no longer taking orders and won't be getting any further stock from the supplier.

When other sites/stores start reporting it as cancelled then i'll accept it. Until then i'll just read this as HLJ having only pre-ordered a set number of these guys and those orders are filled and they have no intention of ordering any more.
