Takara Tomy held a special T-Spark live stream where they announced a new line to apparently replace the standard Masterpiece Movie line called, well Masterpiece Movie Next. Seems like this will be the movie equivalent to the MPG line. It'll start off with MPMN-01 Sideswipe from Revenge of the Fallen, though all we were shown was a rotating wireframe.

The following description is given to the new line in the stream (image below):

The pinnacle of the Transformers live action film series, the "MPM (Movie Masterpiece)" series, is getting a new look and being developed as the "MPM Next"!

Similarly for MPG we got teased blue wire frame outlines of the G1 package art for Blaster (finally!) along with Ramhorn and Eject and surprisingly enough Twincast. Nothing else to go by and a release timeframe wasn't given. If we're getting Twincast then you can bet Soundblaster isn't far behind!

Obviously these are rather early announcements so info is scarce but hopefully they wont be making us wait too long for pre-order information. Meanwhile, let us know in the Energon Pub forums what you thing!

So the MP Nighstalker mold might actually get repainted into Steeljaw less than a decade later? My how time flies.

Interesting. Definitely would like to see that Sideswipe.

That Concept Stingray was a thing of beauty.
And should look nice next to MP Tracks.


Not so sure about an MP Twincast. No attachment to Blaster, much less his Japan repaint.

Andyou can still get one of the many Kingdom repaints on Amazon for not much over retail including Twincast and SG.

Given how the MPG line likes to reuse molds for obscure characters, how about using Blaster as a base for Soundwarrior or even Toaster? I'd probably get at least the former, always loved its colour scheme.

Just speculating, but I think MPMN might be a Takara Tomy line where the regular MPM line was originally initiated by Hasbro. Not sure if we'll see them at Target.

Seems like a safe bet, maybe released alongside Twincast.
