They are a fun cheap fix.

Haha, thanks. But you know, the last person to give me a clap was .... Rated X. So either I am a bringer of peace and everyone agrees with me or I am a total schizo.

Who went from loathing the "H-word" ("honor") in BW to being a promise-keeping bot of his word in BM.RAcast wrote:william-james88 wrote:Cobotron wrote:Wow Will! &

Which is a whole other can of worms. As a translation, "Gregevor" is as valid as "Greejeeber" given English's flexibility in pronunciation, like "ghoti" for "fish".

Sorry, but that's not completely correct. Although English has some flexibility in transcribing Japanese sounds into English orthographically, those sounds must still be recorded by the phonological, or phonetic rules of English.
Thus, [ グリジバー ] can be transcribed as "Greejeeber", "Gooleegeava", " Gureigybuh", "Gurijiba" or other derivatives that show an elongated /i:/ ("ee") sound, a /dz/ ("j") sound.
As "Gregevor", the "silent e" would usually create the pronunciation /griedz/ ("graij"), but the inclusion of /v/ in the second syllable elicits a "hard g", or /g/ sound, followed by a short vowel or /e/.
If we were translating ENGLISH (or foreign words) into Japanese pronunciation, we could be more dismissive of such transference errors (e.g.: " Mineruba" instead of "Minerva", etc), but, until we know the etymology of " Greejeeber", we have to assume it's a "new", made-up Japanese word, and abide by how the Katakana can be transcribed into English, and not the other way round.
Anyway, to be completely honest, he's called "Rollbar" in English, anyway.
The original Car Robots character, yes, but not this new Adventure character.primalxconvoy wrote:Anyway, to be completely honest, he's called "Rollbar" in English, anyway.

This was my first experience with the Strongarm mold and it's just OK. I like the colors here more but the figure feels really light.
The final figure from AOE is a Power Battler, that's really hard to find! Junkheap has a really fun chest claw gimmick that's unobtrusive and works with the toy. Junkion is the same character only in blue; it's also much easier, and cheaper to find.

Sounds like New York City.primalxconvoy wrote:They don't always, plus they'll refuse to collect certain types of water if it's not in EXACTLY the right bag, or on the right day/time of month. Also, most places don't have, or won't allow big metal bins and/or portabins/garbage dumpsters, so rubbish is stored on the street, or under nets, which is then ripped apart by cats and crows. Luckily, my area, at least, has modern, Japanese style porta-bins, but there are the old nets right next to them anyway...
