I was about to order this TAV 21 Optimus but I had second thoughts. I understand that the legs are hollow for the trailer segment but I dont like how they are open. I would have much preferred there to be a flap which closes the legs, like with Ultra Magnus or at least for the hollowness to be on the back like. As it is, the figure only looks great (and by that I mean freaken phenominal) from the front and thats too bad. Am I the only one to feel that way?

I did, I got him at around the same time I got Drift. I didnt wait till I got home, I did it while at work. But he was already sold out. He is on my watch list now. I might be tempting fate, but I feel like waiting for this Optimus. At least waiting till august to buy him so that he could be shipped with arcee (IF I do buy arcee, I still hope we get a hasbro release in canada). Arrgh, I just dont want to regret anything. I dont want to be dissatisfied and yet I dont want to miss out and I also dont want to pay shipping for every single figure every single time.

Hasbro's sideswipe had a great deco from the start and the only complaints I heard were of the actual mold. Does yours hold together well? But after watching many reviews, I do not think it will hold up all that well. I have yet to hear someone way their Sideswipe actually holds without modification. And he does have a good deco in my opinion.
to tell the truth here, I have only ever bought 1 takara figure, and that was 1-step Stinger since He was the same price on amazon as the hasbro one when I bought him. The paint really does not matter to me, i'm not particular about it. The paint job has never been a make-or-break deal to me.

Sold out again.If you base it on the time(12:28) stamp I posted the availability, it was like a total of 5 hours they were available. Heck, despite my not liking a visorless Jazz, I also preordered one. :oops:

Yup, only sideswipe left. But with this avaialble/not available looking like an on off swtich, isnt this more like Amiami ordering more when they realize how popular an item is?

TFyuki comes at us again Tweeting a nice comparison shot of upcoming TakaraTomy Transformers Adventure TAV-19 Powerglide with Hasbro Generations Powerglide and their G1 counterpart. At this time it is unknown if the TAV version will sport any remolding (ala sticker circle Insecticons) but we can see that his main difference is a lighter shade of grey plastic closer matching G1.
