I wonder if Optimus will do some mass-shifting in the show or if he'll be GINORMOUS compared to the rest of the cast?

Optimus is bigger than the others in the show.

And yes, he's appeared in the show whilst being dead. Transformer afterlife and all that.

Here is a report quite a few of you were wondering (I am also posting it in the Legends thread): shipping price from Amiami.

I bought a lot of stuff to ship all at once and it seems the shipping price is a bit exponential depending on the size of your box/order.

If it is small, the difference between SAL and EMS can be half/double. It cost someone 10$ to ship 3 deluxes. But I was shipping 4 deluxes and a Superion set, which came out to 6,154 Yen shipping SAL and 6,660 Yen EMS. So I picked EMS. That is very expensive shipping for SAL but it is quite reasonable for EMS which is the lightning fast way with tracking, and its the same cost or cheaper than it would have cost using BBTS's shipping to canada.

The Figure King 209 magazine came out and as part of the scans, courtesy of Allspark, we see some new exclusive EZ Transformers from Takara. These are redecos of Legion Grimlock, Sideswipe and Optimus Prime. While the Grimlock and sideswipe are clear like the figures of previous campaigns. The Optimus however, has the deco of Jeffrey the Toysrus Giraffe.

The magazine also had 2 pages of shots of the upcoming TAV 21 Optimus figure and it shows all it's features and accessories. Remember, this figure is an exclusive Takara mold. Enjoy!

So much TAV/RID toy news today.

With Phantomjaw (Takara Steeljaw redeco) just released in Japan, it is almost by tradition that Alfes has updated his blog with a new in hand gallery. This toy comes as part of the Takara Tomy’s TAV VS03 set : Phantomjaw vs Strongarm. These are supposed to be police themed rivals. This deco is exclusive to Takara and to this set (so far). There are comparison shots to the previous more show accurate deco, of which we have a gallery right here (Hasbro version). Anyone getting this set? Let us know!

The alt-mode to this looks so amazing...-sigh-...but that's all unfortunately.

I still haven't received a payment request for TAV Drift at HLJ. Did HLJ take more orders than they had stock again like they did for the LG Fembots?

These are the exact same proportions as on the show. Think of the animated line and how the toys mirrored the show's style. This is the same thing:

Totally picking up that big Optimus at some point here. Looks great!

You missed the Clash of the Transformers images in the scans. Have we seen that Sideswipe before?

(Edit: Never mind, we've seen those scanned before.)

That is just your opinion. Quite a few people had that opinion for the animated series toys as well. I, on the other hand, am always impressed when a designer can bring that style to a toy and still make it transform. Like Animated Ultra Magnus or Rodimus, those are masterpieces in their own right.
