Nope. Original pics were of the Ultra.Mindmaster wrote:Hold up... wasn't Primal supposed to use the smaller Deluxe-ish version of the mold?

Huh. Could've sworn it was the Deluxe.

I don't hide the fact I'm not a fan of beast wars but I have to agree that Primal toy is fantastic. It does so much in a relatively small space.
By "DX" do you mean the Telemocha Series DX versions or the Deluxe class scaled-down versions?Janus Prime wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Got that right. I have the DX version and it´s just wonderful; any chance to get this mold is a good chance. The DX T-Rex Megatron is also outstanding.

I've never actually seen any in-hand pics of those versions before, but the official stock photos make them look like the most show-accurate versions of those molds ever, minus their lack of the Beast Wars Reborn tooling. Had they included those, they would have been the numero uno perfect versions of those molds.Janus Prime wrote:Sabrblade wrote:By "DX" do you mean the Telemocha Series DX versions or the Deluxe class scaled-down versions?
I own the Ultra-class Telemocha redecos. I love having the exact same molds that were available in the 90´s but with more show accurate paint jobs.

The primary difference between Robot Masters and Beast Wars Reborn Convoys is in the hands. The larger original has closed fists, while the smaller remake has open hands:

I think he means the Deluxe sized one that was released under the Cybertron banner.

The point I was getting at is that it's pretty hard to confuse such distinctly different shapes and colors to think that the top is the same toy as the bottom.chuckdawg1999 wrote:Yeah, these look close enough. I'm not that picky. Then again he did say he meant the Robot Master version so the point is moot.

And I knew he meant the RobotMasters mold, which does indeed look like the Ultra mold shrunk down (since it basically is), making it much easier to confuse the to in a more understandable case.

Even the Japanese thought it was awful IIRC.
