TF Yuki has uploaded new pictures to his Twitter, featuring Legends LG 13 Megatron. This is the first time we see the toy in package and there are a few things to note. Firstly, this is the first Legends figure to ever be packaged in robot mode. Also, the box does not feature any new artwork and instead reuses Hasbro's digital image found on the Combiner Wars packaging.

TF Yuki also posted an image with this figure obscuring the Armada redeco of this mold and it is unclear if this is our first view of Takara's rendition of this deco or simply the Hasbro version serving as a hint that Takara will be releasing it eventually.

Takara finally decided to start milking the Hasbro retool cows. What I dont understand is why they never got a Jihaxus? Why did they never get a skullgrin or nightbeat? And why did they never get a skids ? But yet takara feels the need to do armada megatron? Theres 7 of them keeping the shelf warm at my local TRU. Its a cool figure dont get me wrong. It actually has a reason to be a tank unlike the G1 colored version.

Yeah, I'd probably buy Takara's Armada Megatron if it pushed all the right nostalgia buttons for me. Glad I didn't jump on Hasbro's just yet.

So interesting that he's packaged in robot mode - was really hoping/expecting vehicle mode. I suspect the same will be true of Ultra Magnus.

If that's the Hasbro Armada Megatron then someone has repainted the horns. I think we're seeing the Takara repaint here.

You're jumping the gun. We don't know if Takara is releasing the Armada Megatron or not. For all we know that could just be the Hasbro figure and Yuki having a little fun with it (he does that kind of thing sometimes).

I've wondered the same. I'm holding out for a G2 comic colors accurate Jhiaxus from Takara at some point in this Legends line. I also find it odd they didn't get Skullgrin, Nightbeat and Skids ... yet. In the case of the Energon Sharkticon and Cybertron Unicron, it sometimes takes them a while to get to products in their line. Hopefully in the Legends series!

As for Armada Megatron, I think it's biggest problem is that it comes in a 1:1 ratio with the much more desirable regular Megatron. If Leader Class figures came four to a case instead of 2, I could see the ratio of 3:1 Megatron:Armada Megatron working much better.

No, Dreadwing's a Prime remold, not Generations.

But other examples of remolded Hasbro Generations released by Takara as special cases would be Nightbeat getting released as Million Publishing Goshooter, Doubledealer as Cloud Starscream, GDO Megatron as Cloud Megatron, and the unreleased GDO Brawn as Cloud Brawn.

Thanks to fellow fan, collector and Seibertronian, Cyberpath, we have new official images of Legends (what we call Generations/Combiner Wars) Car Robots Black Convoy/RID (2001) Scourge and Armada Megatron to feast upon!

The images come from the official Takara Tomy Twitter feed and feature the Black Convoy/Scourge/Nemesis Prime color scheme on the G2 Optimus Prime mold from 2010's Reveal The Shield, as well as Leader Class Armada Megatron from the currently released Combiner Wars line. Both figures are Tokyo Toy Show 2015 exclusives and the information pertaining to their limitations and pricing can be seen below:
Armada Megatron is 7,500 JPY ($62.13 USD) with a limit of 2 per person and Black Convoy is 3,500 JPY ($28.99 USD) with a limit of 1 per person.
