Ordered mine as soon as they went up on AmiAmi before we even saw them colored. All look great and I really, really hope Night Bird's weapons stay gold, really didn't like them translucent. Obviously they're still gang molded with the translucent parts, but painting them make all the difference. Now where are her swords hiding in the pics and will they be painted up like on the show too?

I have a question though. With all the modifications done to these 3 molds, are we to assume that the price of altering a mold is that much cheaper than making a new one from scratch?

Back in the day the old line was that it was cheaper to make a new mold than to alter an existing mold so we didn't get a lot of stuff like this. These days the figures are designed on computers and steel molds can be cut by computers so it's faster and easier to make alterations like these than it was in the past. Makes sense, right? Fans have been using computers for years to make their 3D printed stuff.

Speaking of their computer design work I still laugh over Hasbro using their design models to promote the 2016 figures and still managed to mistransform them.

Here is a report quite a few of you were wondering (I am also posting it in the Legends thread): shipping price from Amiami.

I bought a lot of stuff to ship all at once and it seems the shipping price is a bit exponential depending on the size of your box/order.

If it is small, the difference between SAL and EMS can be half/double. It cost someone 10$ to ship 3 deluxes SAL and thats the same price it would cost to ship 1 deluxe EMS. But I was shipping 4 deluxes and a Superion set, which came out to 6,015 Yen shipping SAL and 6,660 Yen EMS. So I picked EMS. That is very expensive shipping for SAL but it is quite reasonable for EMS which is the lightning fast way with tracking, and its the same cost or cheaper than it would have cost using BBTS's shipping to canada.

Sounds about right. I'm finally getting MP-10 thanks to the rerelease and he cost ¥4,420 to ship, though I suppose he's probably pretty heavy and only double what I paid to ship Star Saber unregistered SAL so it's really not all that bad at all.

Your right, its pretty standard. Though now I am wondering if its more worthwhile to ship only 2 or 3 at a time and get the unregistered sal. Seems like waiting till I have everything to ship might work to my disadvantage. but the price for shipping is fine in the end, standard international priority. Its just that part of me was hoping the savings/discounts would continue with the shipping for some reason. I guess Hasbro retail on sale (like 20% off) is still my best option for toys afterall. I will stick with amiami for things I really want and cant get (exclusive decos/exclusive molds) instead of simply going full takara now.

I love Armada Shockwave's design. It's just too bad that the US release as Tidal Wave has terrible colors and the Micron Densetsu version is god awful expensive. And above that, there's very little chance we'll see an update version.

Do you mean the purple version? Checked ebay, (Tidalwave Takara version) costs from $ 40-$200 tops.The latter comes from a Taiwan seller.

I had tidalwave, he was stolen a while back by a d#@k that I knew who collected mirage characters, and consequently took all of my mirage figures.

Honestly it's just one of my two rules for tf's, I like to pose my figures when I get them out (which is why the epic botcon exclusive armada megatron is in storage awaiting a buyer ) It's not OCD, it's just what I need from figures (and for most of those prices I could pay off my monthly college loan bill )
