The hip joints were switched on the initial releases of Skids. Worse, the ball joints there were very prone to breaking off, so fixes were perilous at best. Later releases, including Crosscut and AoE Rollbar, don't have that problem.

The hip joints were switched on the initial releases of Skids. Worse, the ball joints there were very prone to breaking off, so fixes were perilous at best. Later releases, including Crosscut and AoE Rollbar, don't have that problem.

Even when fixed, the Skids mold still has a lot of trouble standing up straight. I have Generations Skids, Crosscut, and BotCon Burn Out, and all three flop over if you look at them funny.

My Skids has never had any issues with the leg. I got him in September of 2013 and he has worked well ever since. Never falls over, hips are assembled right. So I doubt he will have hip issues

I used a hair dryer to warm up/soften the plastic a bit before preforming the swap. They sure didn't want to come off and put the fear in me.

Stands better, but not great. I've found that the best way to make that bugger stand up is to bend the knees the wrong way as far as they will go. Almost chicken leg the guy. Then with some voodoo and some fancy footwork, he stands just fine as long as you don't stare to hard.


EDIT: I found a somewhat decent pic of Skids to show the legs.

He's a cool fig, I'd recommend any version of this mold.
