They're really not horribly far off his character model.

I'm inclined to think that people might be right about them photographing badly.

As you have show, the colors ARE pretty far of... Unless the toy's picture was indeed badly taken. Let's just hope it's the case.

Except they're not.

The layout is perfect, the dark green is spot on, the pale greenish white is maybe a shade or 2 too dark, and the grey is as near as makes no difference.

If you literally just change the lime green to a warmer leaf green, it'd be perfectly on-model.

Sorry but that bright green is too bright and blinding for me. Even if it's almost show accurate.

Agreed. Also I kinda wish we could've gotten more comic accurate "orange" on the Hasbro version though, but I still love the Hasbro version of Springer.

Those are a nice shade of cobalt, indigo, red and silver on Armada Starscream super mode.
Gives me high hopes for a updated figure for Optimus, red alert, hot shot, demolisher, cyclonus, smokescreen, blurr, wheeljack, sideways and the other Armada cast aside from thrust as he is getting a update sometime near April 2016

The Club is doing Skywarp because Takara is doing this figure. The Club doesn't want people to feel that the trio is incomplete, so they're giving us the last missing member.

Armada Skywarp is not a BotCon exclusive. It's a TFCC exclusive. You need only buy that figure if you want it, not a whole boxed set or something. If you're not currently a member of the club, you'll have to buy a year's membership, of course, but completing your Armada "seeker trio" is definitely doable. As a bonus, if you do get a membership soon enough, the "free" bonus figure this year is Armada Ramjet. With Thrust coming from Takara with the Unite Warriors Grand Galvatron set, all you would need for the second trio is for Hasbro, the TFCC, or Takara to do a Dirge repaint of UW Thrust.

They're going to be selling at a mark up above what you would pay to buy directly from the TFCC, so it's got to be something that they know will continue to draw interest for a while. Essentially, they'd need to buy a bunch of stock and wait until the TFCC has no more of whatever figure to sell to the public to entice late comers to buy from the aftermarket to get what they want at a premium price.
