Just one complaint, Slipstream's head, why didn't TT paint her head full black? Leaving the other half unpainted does not make sense since her light piping gimmick is nullified because of the red paint on her optics.

I'm talking about the torso misassembly that shadow panther wrote about on the previous two pages.-Kanrabat- wrote:Sabrblade wrote:By this do you mean that yours is not misassembled?fenrir72 wrote:This issue forced me to open my 'con fatale set. Blackwidow has no issues (thank Primus),![]()

Mine too, is pretty fine appart the neck gap. I blame a design error in the remolding.

There shouldnt be a neck gap. The shoulders should look like this, with the chest plate covering them fully:

However, the placement of the chest screw cannot be changed. So, what's the fix? Is there an easier way to do it rather than removing pins and risking to destroy her?

No, but you can still move the chest piece up by forcing it:

All thanks to the misassembled torso.-Kanrabat- wrote:william-james88 wrote:-Kanrabat- wrote:

1) Pop off all the limbs.
2) Unscrew the large torso screw under the left arm.
3) Unscrew the two small screws (one up top, one down at the bottom) on the back of waist piece.
4) Remove the waist piece.
5) Slide a small screwdriver or an X-Acto blade in pivoting section that was connected to the waist. It has a pin in it, but it's just there to keep it aligned properly and isn't knurled, so it should slide out easily as you wedge the piece apart.
6) Pull the two halves of the torso totally apart.
(NOTE: Here's the part that causes the problem- The large torso halves are swapped left-to-right, with a flatter side facing out when it should be underneath the spider face. Everything else stays in the same position.)
7) Set aside the head and spider face.
8 ) Hold your soldering iron on the center of the large rivet holding the spider legs in place. Be sure to stay on the center. DO NOT PRESS ON IT. Just let the rivet heat up all the way through. Depending on how hot your soldering iron gets, this may take a bit. Took about a minute or so on mine per rivet.
9) Grip the torso and pivoting section, then pull on the base of the spider legs hard. If you heated it up enough, it should give pretty quickly and the rivet will pop out. It is knurled, but it's also only about 3 or 4mm long.
10) Repeat on the other side.
11) Swap the torso halves. Double check since they look really similar at a glance.
12) Press the rivets back into place. You may or may not need to heat them up again if they can't just be pressed in with a screwdriver or something.
13) Put everything back together. The spider face should now slide up considerably higher, and the spider abdomen should now be able to easily fold up and slot into place above her hips and just below the spider legs, which the reversed torso prevented.

Well, it's what shadow panther said to use earlier in this thread as well. There's no way around getting the rivets out of her torso without just permanently breaking the figure.-Kanrabat- wrote:LOST Cybertronian wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Here's a step-by-step guide on how to fix Blackarachnia:

It would be awesome if someone would make a clear video on how to do this.
