I agree that this color scheme fits this figure particularly well. What I would love to see, and maybe it will happen with the next line after Titans Return is a true Rodimus Prime. We're getting all of these Season 3 Gen 1 figures, which is great, and I'm enjoying them immensely, but a unique non-redeco'd Rodimus Prime would be outstanding. It wouldn't have to be a leader class, although I would buy that in a heartbeat, but something that gives the character it's well deserved due.

What Galvatron are they reissuing?

They packed galvatron with alpha trion in a revision case, guess they over-produced galvatron mistakenly assuming people would buy that piece of crap, then no one did, so they decided to stuff a revision case with it, so it could shelfwarm even harder 8-}

Oddly enough, I have no problem with this mold. Even the jet mode isn't as bad in person as I thought it would be. Octone's remolding makes it look even better.

It's not a case of English vs. Japanese name. RiD 2001 and Armada aren't the same series.

They're both epic, cool, black repaints, so they're ostensibly the same thing in my eye's, besides Nemesis Prime is a way cooler character

Not when it's a G2 Laser OP body-type. That's RiD Scourge/CR Black Convoy. An Energon Optimus body-type would be Grand Scourge (like what we got with the UW figure). Nemesis would just be any other ordinary Optimus body-type, usually (lest there be any other specific exceptions out there, like a Lio Convoy body-type being Black Lio Convoy).

I dont think we can, not in the west. And in any case Scourge is far more synommous with RID than Armada since thats where he started.

As for Tidal Wave, he is in a boxset, not mass release. Just like G2 Prime which isnt G1 either. Of course, you could argue, "but why not put Scourge instead of G2 prime then" and thats a totally legit question. But I think Hasbro knew takara would do this, so they wanted to offer fans something different. Like that instead of choosing between 2 scourges (one from hasbro and one from takara), you can collect the same mold in 3 different colours. Hurray!

On the contrary. People DO care. Back when this TR Voyager Optimus mold was first revealed, people saw its influence in the G2 Laser Optimus body and wanted it done as RiD Scourge/CR Black Convoy. Not Nemesis Prime, Scourge. Specifically the guy from RiD 2001/Car Robots cartoon. Because, unlike virtually every other guy ever called "Nemesis Prime" back, Scourge was a legit character, and a COOL one at that! He had focus, development, his own long-running arc and agenda. He was a full-fledged character, whereas a proceeding "Nemesis Primes" of the 2000s were less actual "characters" more just mere "concepts", evil black Optimus Prime lookalikes made for the sake of it.

You can color any old Optimus Prime toy and call it "Nemesis Prime" all you want, but anytime there's a new toy based directly on G2 Laser Optimus Prime, any evil black redeco of that has GOT to be Scourge and it's got to look like Scourge, cuz that's his look, and he makes it look so good. 8-)
