The new images show the beautiful black paint job the figure has along with all 3 modes. Some new information also reveals the figure will be 5600 yen, or about $51.00 US dollars, it is scheduled for a June 3 release, and it will be released at the opening day of the 2017 Tokyo Toy Show. It is also a limited release.

Emerje wrote:Refresh my memory, were the previous Tokyo Toy Show exclusives sold at the Takara Tomy Mall site? I don't want to bother with TFSource or BBTS if I can get it for less through a forwarding service. I've gotten the previous Masterpieces from TFS, but I'd really like to try buying direct if I can this time.

You know, his noggin looked a bit off, and I didn't know why at first. I just now noticed that the pylons/antennae aren't up.
With all that sculpted detail, there doesn't appear to be enough flat surface area on the shoulders for Combatron Marks to have been printed on them.Kurona wrote:The placement of the Combatron logo is pretty odd actually - everything else seems to be accurate to either the cartoon or the toy except for that. On both the toy and the cartoon, Scourge/Black Convoy had two Combatron faction symbols - one on each shoulder. But here he doesn't have any on his shoulders and instead has a tiny little one stuffed away in the corner of one of his window boobs. I guess Takara figured the shoulders on this mold were too small?

Though, if e-Hobby did decide to do an updated Orion Pax from this mold, I wouldn't fault them for using the original Hasbro tooling, just to make Orion a little more distinct from Kup, even though it would mean a bit less cartoon accuracy. What do you guys think?
The head that came with Hasbro PM Prime doesn't even look like Cartoon Orion Pax anyway. Were Takara to make an Orion Pax at all, they'd want a cartoon-accurate head given their track record. Short of retooling a new face, of the preexisting TR head molds, Blurr's looks the most like Orion Pax's cartoon head.william-james88 wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:It just struck me, but now that Takara has remolded the shoulders and forearms for Kup, that would make a possible Orion Pax repaint all the better! I am wondering about the face. Unlike the standar titan masters, the leader titan masters all have way bigger faces. I havent tried yet but I dont think the head that came with stateside PMOP would work on deluxe Kup due to the change in scale. I should try when I get back home. Has anyone else tried that yet?

PMOP's Titan Master face is the same size and scale as the Deluxe/Voyager Titan Masters because unlike the rest of the Leaders, it doesn't make up part of the actual head - a helmet comes over it. It's the only Leader Titan Master that would actually work on non-leaders.

Do you own it and compared them? Because i did and the face part of PMOP's titanmaster still takes up a much bigger chunk than any deluxe or voyager titan master. it doesnt scale with deluxes and voyagers, same as the rest of the leaders.
Check out the difference between him and doublecross for instance, you can see that double cross has a much smaller face part before his helmet begins
Kurona wrote:Still, it'd be best to try out the Orion Pax head on an actual Deluxe or Voyager to fully judge. Showing that it's a slightly bigger scale than most Deluxes by putting him on Sky Shadow doesn't really help illustrate anything, especially in the context of the conversation.
