I'm thinking of grabbing a CW Hot Spot for Cab/Hosehead, and using my broken Animated Arcee for Minerva, both repainted of course. Their heads won't have to actually detach for transformation (though Hosehead's HM could ride in his bucket if he wants) but that hardly matters.
As far as existing TR molds, Getaway is far too manly for dainty little Minerva IMO. Or really any Fembot. Jesus, HARDHEAD would make a better Fembot. As for Hosehead/Cab...I got nothin'.
For Minerva, I'm not sure she need to be very feminine. If I remember correctly from the cartoon, she basically took a genderless autobot body (Transtactor I think they called them?) and made it her own. I still think Breakaway will be a good fit.
Well her original toy was a redeco of Nightbeat. However, she looked like this in the cartoon:
I wouldn't mind if we got a Road Rage/Tracks type release of a Nightbeat that was then heavily retooled into Minerva. But as is I'm either going to get the official Minerva head or resculpt/paint a Nightbeat into her head, and make a replacement neck joint for my broken Animated Arcee. Once I sort her forearm situation anyway.

I understand your point. But since I don't have the skills to modified any other body for her official head (and she will probably not have any official release with a proper body), I will live with the headmaster gimmick giving her any body I can get her. After all those years, I can live with Minerva's head on Breakwawy (a Reprolabel set to repurpose him would be really cool though)

He doesn't have a point, the cartoon robot mode is untransformable (or possibly barely-transformable) stylization, which is nothing new. Optimus Prime's robot mode in the cartoon has the tires magically disappear, the wheel arch in his forearms magically fill in, the front bumper magically double up and extend around his waist into a pair of briefs (well, I suppose you could be really generous and call it a wrestling belt) and Floro Dery's models for the '84 cast should be locked in a vault where no toy designer can see them ever again.. Oops, I think I was drifting into a rant that more belongs in the Masterpiece thread there.

Also, you CAN rotate your picture to look normal before uploading. If you use a third party image editing app, and then save it (even if it appears normal in that app), it should then have corrected screen rotation inflection included and cause no problems when uploaded.

i didnt see anything different on those posts few pages back although the youtube channel that was mentioned before cleared it all up i didnt think it would fold that way but anyway thanks
i did notice too that to make him stand more stable the red heals on the super Ginrai feet need to be flipped up half way so they are touching the bottom of the back legs

I'm happy to confirm this works quite well

And that's why I still think the Hasbro Power Master Optimus is WAY superior. Because he don't attempt to be "geewun". He's an alternate version, with Godbomber FUSED with him. Takara's Ginrai is way too ugly for me and it does not justify having to purchase the ultra expensive (but still nice) Godbomber.
Those ice-rack inner arms are his only fault.
Anyway, I'll wait for the inevitable 400$ Masterpiece to have the TRUE update of G1 Godjinrai.
i know its not exactly like what it should be, though with that trick on the backback to change where the wings sit its pretty closechuckdawg1999 wrote:I think we need to remember that Legends God Ginrai is not meant to be Masterforce God Ginrai, this is an update with some changes so it's not going to be exact.
