I assumed the one-titan-per-year was mostly about cutting production costs rather than the financial burden on the fans.
Maybe I'm a little too cynical, but I can see Hasbro releasing/rereleasing two Titans in the same year.
It's more of an annual thing than anything else. Yeah cost is a thing but a titan is also meant to be the crown gem of the line. Plus he doesn't have a gimmick to go with titan masters or prime masters. Could they add a feature? Sure but the you got production costs on retooling and then it's not just simply a repaint or release It's gonna have to go through the safety's tests again which is more costs. It's more plausible to have one release than two.
There was something mentioned in the big leak about Predaking being able to have a Prime Master fit into the lion mouth of his chest.DecepticonFinishline wrote:For the sake of argument, there doesn't seem to be any indication that the PotP Predaking will have any specific Prime Master indication like the rest of the size classes. It still might when it comes out, but just so the point is made.

It seems, to me, that PotP is more of a catch-all line to finish the trilogy as opposed to a line that focuses entirely on the gimmick the way Titans Return did.
You're probably right, but I really want a Metroplex reissue.

Is called pallet wrap...

one world think though, they would have just surrounded the whole box, not in random strips across it...

Just to give added confirmation, it was clear in one of the presentation slides that the prime master interacted with all the classes including predaking who can hold both the matrix of leadership (which is Prime master compatible) and the enigma of combination.
When I spoke with the ladies at the Hasbro booth they did actually tell me that they and Takara had decided to not make different versions of Trypticon but to produce the same exact figures for all markets. Seemed a little strange thus I hadn't mentioned it but it does seem she was telling me the truth. Came out as I was telling her I had bought some of the Titans returns from Japan for the differences.

That may actually be a cultural difference. Japan is very on top of recycling and reducing waste. I know they recycle much more than we do in the US, and things like pallet wrap and plastic bags and packaging all get sorted out for recycling. Using less means sorting less and processing less.
Edit: Scratch that, after a second look, I think this wrap was applied in store only for the purpose of tying Trypticon down to the box for a display, not wrapping an entire pallet for shipping.

Yeah! What I said earlier here lol just kidding will.
I honestly don't want titan predaking because that means scorponok will either be for 2019 or dare I say not a titan?!![]()
Maybe they could do two Titans in one year but I don't see it happening

Well there it is. Doubt the leg thing is fixed. They're probably just coming off the same assembly and getting put in different boxes.

Gotcha![]()
The year they gave for their plans with this current generations line is 2021 right? So we have a titan every year until then at least. Scorponok will happen just not next year.

Notice they removed the chest piece that holds Full Tilt? Because that panel won't stay closed from the weight. Soft bendy plastic. Mine is warped. So it looks like it will probably have the same issues as the Hasbro version.
I put a thin bead of silicon adhesive on the back of the chest piece (where the purple tabs go in on the back) and it worked wonders and is invisible

Can it still open and close?
