As for Hardhead, I tossed the head in my tf bin and bought clobber so as to have my official Grimlock. The gunmetal greys perfectly match, and I'd recommend checking it out as he looks amazing with clobber attached

I was just telling Ctrl_Freq the same thing yesterday in a chat. I've got him sitting on my desk at work with the clobber head and the cannon pulled off his shoulder and in his hands instead. Duros is just sitting in the little tank nearby.

There's no sign of a "Stripes" repaint of Ravage, or even the Rumble/Frenzy head retool of Rewind. Poor Blaster is only getting one buddy to hop in his chest so far. Soundwave gets at least two. Will Takara surprise us and release a few more later down the line?

The frenzy/rumble mold hasn't been revealed by Takara yet so it's anyone's guess as to who they'll do. But it'll probably be the blue one because that was the first one revealed in the cartoon

The line is barely starting with the TR molds, give it some time. Besides, Legends Class figures are usually paired with standalone Titan Masters from the Titan Master Class, they're probably still figuring out who can be paired up. For the record, these have yet to receive a partner:

Brawn aka Gong
Fangry aka Wilder
Ptero aka Swoop
Sawback aka Lione

As they're planned for Q1 2017 over here, Japan will get them in some shape or form a few months later. Though, Rumble, Frenzy, Eject, Buzzsaw and Steeljaw/Stripes will have to compete with others like Kickback, Gnaw, and Bumblebee for a partner.

Hm, maybe a gift set like the Encore Cassette Dai Sakusen sets is in order

I'm kind of suprised they didn't pair up some of the cassettes like have Eject and Rewind together or even include one with Blaster and Soundwave. It's not like they have size classes to follow.

I see some confusion here and I dont think anyone was being petty. The idea being said right now, unless I am wrong, is that Takara might only release these casette types once per mold. While Hasbro already has 2 of each, Hasbro only revealed one of each. And since their release in Japan is very different then how it is by Hasbro (they include both a legends figure and an extra head) it's not clar how their approach will be. And its not like they need to release all the different tooling Hasbro has.

Takara does rarely release straight-up redecoes and new-head/new-weapon redecoes unless they were that way originally. Combiner limbs got off the hook mostly because it was like a necessary evil and the combined mode being what really matters to most potential buyers.

So Eject I see as an inevitability from Takara (and, for that matter; Hasbro). But Rumble and Frenzy? Eeeeh... they might consider it close enough, maybe not. Plus they do like completing their little sets of characters, hence the second LG Brainstorm. So I can totally see it happening but I won't be extremely surprised if it doesn't.

Not quite yet; but I've youtubed, looked up pics and drooled over them many times. They're the right mix of aesthetic, gimmick, articulation and modern independent alt-modes for me - a perfect classics update. Have yet to find a flaw with them.

TakaraTomy has been rather relunctant in initially releasing any mold with the alternate head, at least with Generations and the first part of Legends, but exceptions have been made at least with FoC Blaster, Soundwave and their cassettes. We just need to wait and see.

Before anyone goes nuts, TakaraTomy Rumble will be RED, and Frenzy will be BLUE should they be released.

Not quite yet; but I've youtubed, looked up pics and drooled over them many times. They're the right mix of aesthetic, gimmick, articulation and modern independent alt-modes for me - a perfect classics update. Have yet to find a flaw with them.

Well not to be a party pooper but I will list some so that if you do get them you wont be in for nasty surprises:

They are fiddly and dont stay in alt mode well.
A big part of that is the spring mechanism that goes off if you stare at it too hard
That also adds a ton of kibble to the robot mode and the hammers dont fold away neatly when not in use

Thats it though. Another cool Frenzy/Rumble mold is the Takara AM one. Their healdsculpts are phenominal.

It's a bit of both. The cassette details are clearly there with the spoked 'holes' in the middle and such; but up top you've got a battery meter and a wireless signal. So either this is some weird mutant hybrid that should never have existed or Ravage is pretending that his human owner has a really weird taste in phone wallpapers.

Takara'a releases usually look so much better than Hasbro's. The biggest debate is usually whether or not it's worth the extra cost. In most cases it is!

I like them a lot. You have them too?

I've got the recent Adventures release of the two. Love 'em. Even better than the United release a few years back, mainly due to, again, greater adherence to show accuracy in plastic color and paint detail. They really do fit the "Classics" credo quite well, with updated altmodes while still being unmistakably the old G1 characters as well. The silhouettes are great, and I love the "pile driver" display options.
