Overlord's being released in 2018 because that follows Takara's schedule. Unless they for some reason wanted him released in an earlier wave, this is just where he'd happen to end up.

I've gotta be honest, I'm a bit disappointed here. Aside from Blitzwing's head, the cartoon accuracy here kinda makes each of these figures look worse -- the clones have those terrible red faces, and Blitzwing has very powdery soft shades of purple and tan that just don't fit his character. And Overlord... I dunno. Parts of him are better than the Hasbro version, some are worse; but it's clear that Sky Shadow is still the coolest looking of this mold.

Well, mixed news for the wallet today. No need for the new Hot Rod MP, but this Overlord is a must buy.
Here's a question for anyone that has the Hasbro Overlord or Sky Shadow: in base mode, can the legs bend outward, into a 'v' position, or are they locked straight forward as they are most often displayed?

It can do the V position
It can also do the "Space Jet" Mode

Since the Zodiac is in the Legends Universe, probably Dai Atlas will be an LG-# rather than an LG-EX

And man, did they really miss the opportunity to do multiple faces with Blitzwing? I was really hoping for his bat-shit crazy face and his DC-Cyborg face from Animated. Urgh.

Not to mention Octane ... I would have loved to have had a proper head for his Marvel Comics Goggle-Eyes.

Well, I definitely need that Blitzwing. The purple is a bit on the lavender side (what is it with Takara and lavender?) but the added paint details and NO STICKERS are a blessing. Also, a Decepticon Shuffler redeco. That's awesome.

Dont like the fake godmasters though. I would rather be able to put in titanmasters with Shapeways engines.

Do the chest pieces not come out? My hope for them was put the Titan masters with engines, then another for the head.

Well he has 2 heads and we only see 2 little guys on the base so it seems the parts on the chest are sculpted which is really too bad. I hope they can come out though so that we can put any other little titan masters in instead. No joke, that is all I am waiting to know inorder to preorder this version. I much preffer it to hasbro, the dark tone is much more how I envision overlord and I like the faces better (though I am not sure if that is simply white plastic or painted white). One think I dont like though is how he looks like with a closed chest flaps. I get that he isnt really intended to be displayed that way but still, that look doesnt work since it reminds me instead of the hollow underside of TF panels, as if someone untabbed the flaps and reversed them.

Blitzwing does look better since they dont do the dumb mistake of giving the tank a purple cannon but it still has the odd purple in the back of the tank, due to the mold so I might just end up getting hasbro regardless.

Is there a chance that those PM engines are just covers that come out to allow the heads to sit in the recesses? It seems unlikely that TT would waste an opportunity for storage.

God Ginrai, however, still towers over him, defeating one of the whole points of Godbomber even existing.

The clones look great, Overlord looks good, not sure about his face. It looks kind of like he is happy and i don't like that expression at all for him.

Blitzwing looks great too, but why doesn't he come with a normal gun? All the Headmasters came with the TR gun before (not counting Legends Targetmasters) and just had an extra gun that transform, are they leaving that out now? I really hope they don't because i really don't care about Shuffler. I just want him to come with the sword and gun.

Like the way that Overlord looks. As much as I thought nailed it with their release, I like the version with the Powermasters even better! As far as the clones, I already got the Velocitron set & preordered the Cybertron set, so I'm sticking with the Hasbro versions & will try to hunt down the Walgreens set. Too bad didn't do just the Bots or just the Cons in those first two sets or I might actually be more inclined to get the set for one or the other.

The tank barrel isn't a gun. Yes, it's a separate piece that can come off, but it can't be held by the figure like a gun. It's supposed to attach to the seat gun he comes with.

Takara Blitzwing looks good, not necessarily better, but Takara's clones just look ugly, Hasbro's look spot on to G1.

Sadly it looks like he does not we are only getting the silly elephant gun it seems. I hope it does come with a normal gun and it just isn't shown here.

It's a shame they didn't just do Overlord "right". The head doesn't need to be removed for transformation, so just have the head be a solid piece like it is with normal Transformers, then just have the "Titan Masters" transform into the engines in his chest, or be "Prime Masters". It seems so weird that we are getting Prime Masters (aka Godmasters or Powermasters) next, and yet the two biggest examples of them don't have the gimmicks done properly.
