I much preffer the $17.99 price tag a clone 2 pack costs in the US.

And I much prefer the $35.99 price tag compared to the $17.99 for one clone pack... on top of $99.99 for the other clone. Perspective is everything
Kurona wrote:So, I'd like to draw everyone's attention towards the prices.
-As presumably a set of two Legends figures, we don't have a direct comparison for the Clone Bots at 36 USD; but it seems to be consistent and sensible alongside, say, Bumblebee at 20 USD.
-At 55 USD, Blitzwing is the same price as Octane and Broadside -- both of whom came with extras. We could be seeing a Titan Master vehicle or even a new Titan Master alongside him.
-Of most note is Overlord at 90 USD. As this price is nowhere near Ginrai's 130, we can finally put to rest that there won't be overly major changes -- it is higher than Sixshot's 80 and Blaster's 85 though, so make of that what you will. Probably accounts for a second and maybe third Titan Master.
Powered Convoy wrote:The Clones are 3500 Yen. Which is 500 Yen less than the price of the smaller two packs Takara releases (legends scale Transformer with Headmaster - Bumblebee & Spike, Kickback & Clouder, etc). These small 2 packs are 2000 yen, so the two clones being that twice that price minus 500 yen seems about right.
Wolfman Jake wrote:The bigger question, I think, is how will Takara change up the clones compared to Hasbro's releases? What could they do, really? Will it be a situation as it is apparently with Legends Trypticon, where Takara is basically releasing the Hasbro version in their market with minimal changes?

Likely just give them more cartoon-accurate decoes. I doubt there'd be any tooling they'd want to change; the tooling right now is about as accurate as could be.

If both releases are the same then why would we call one the Hasbro version?
Which cartoon did you look at?Wolfman Jake wrote:Kurona wrote:Wolfman Jake wrote:The bigger question, I think, is how will Takara change up the clones compared to Hasbro's releases? I just checked the cartoon representations of the clones. Hasbro's Fastlane and Cloudraker look pretty much on point with their G1 cartoon selves.

OR
Cuz, Takara would go with the first one above.
