"Official" MPs no longer exist in a vacuum, and some mention of them, be it "I'm definitely getting MP Shockwave over Quakeblast" or "You know, I don't think I like the official MP Inferno, I'm getting Hellfire instead" is unavoidable, and not particularly egregious provided the whole thread doesn't get steered off course. Obviously if it takes the entire thread off the rails that needs to be dealt with, but the occasional bit of discussion isn't necessarily a bad thing. Not trying to be difficult here, just playing devil's advocate.
Anyway, topic:
I like the look of Artfire. The targetmaster is cool as hell, and the extra toy sticker details really help break up the sea of flat panels. I'm not too fussed on Inferno himself and if I do get any version of him it'll be the Maketoys version, but if I feel the need to own this mold, this will probably b e the version I go for.

In fairness they also said it was a one time exception because it was the FP armor ON Hot Rod, not comparing another company's Hot Rod knockoff to the real one. They also said not to do it again.
On topic: Those tampos on Artfire are never going to look good to me, but they aren't enough to make me not want the figure. Shame he wasn't in the cartoons, then we might have been spared the technicolor mess.
Just noticed for the first time that Artfire doesn't hold his Targetmaster but rather uses it in place of Inferno and Grapple's hose/gun hand (but still has an optional handle). Kinda neat.

After watching all this talk, I went and pre-ordered Artfire. Ladder magic, MP targetmasters, and the whole she-bang

Apologies to Burn, but really? You of all people? Really?
Good god those stickers look hideous on Inferno. Less is more. Much, much more.

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.

You only see a low res image of the applied decals. Try seeing them in person. Some figs also don't translate well on camera, like people...the term photogenic ring a bell?

It's not about quality, it's about application and existence. I've never been a fan of the bright colored stickers that came with the '84-'85 figures and usually left the bulk of them off the figures. I thought they were ugly then and look even worse on modern figures. I much prefer the bare look from the cartoon and comics or the sculpted and painted details of modern figures over stickers with fake details and random geometry.
At most I'd want decent looking taillight stickers for these three and nothing else. Maybe Reprolabels will make a nice 3D sticker set, I'd buy that.
