I disagree there. The previous Masterpiece Optimus Prime toys looked out of place when put up against Megatron, Shockwave or Sunstreaker. I'll agree that MP-10 is an excellent toy, but its no longer in keeping with what Takara are going for and since Prime\Convoy is the posterboy of the entire franchise, it would be odd to keep the old aesthetic going on.
The price, however, is mental. I'd expect Hasbro to pick this figure up and do some justice on the price front, though.

I'm still going to buy one but I'm going to feel bad about it. Will just have to set some aside ahead of time, but I know a lot of collectors do not have the means, desire, or both to do that which sucks. (Edit: incorrect choice of word) Segmentation is no fun.william-james88 wrote:ScottyP wrote:Sometimes, stuff is too expensive. Full stop. Nothing else to it, just plain costs too much. Same here. I will not be purchasing it.

The Starscream props are completely unnecessary IMO. Stick to the must-have pieces, Takara.
I don't like it, but I agree, MP-10 does look out of place now. But I'm also not a fan of the new MP aesthetic.Amelie wrote:Coptur wrote:Optimus Prime didn't need re-doing

I also agree with this. It just continues to march on with a bad precedent.ScottyP wrote:Sometimes, stuff is too expensive. Full stop. Nothing else to it, just plain costs too much. I feel like this is one of those times.
That also seems to be the new deal, just tossing random **** in a box. Do we really need to re-enact every one off scene from the show?Cyberpath wrote:The Starscream props are completely unnecessary IMO. Stick to the must-have pieces, Takara.
